I recently got CM: DiRT, im gonna do a quick reveiw of it here.

Well DiRT is a very good game, great sounds and graphics. I have a few gripes though, this list sums them up good...

: Its not really about Colin McRae anymore, instead its about a baggy trousered American called Travis Pastrana. Rally was built in Europe and has loads of history and heritage. Bringing an American into it destroys it.

: They replaced Colin's long time Co-Driver Nicky Grist with another American with some Sh*tty lines like "Smooth and Steady, im Mr Smooth and You're Mr Steady". How rubbish is that.

: In another attempt to "Americanise" the game, they try to force you to do as many American events as possible without many people noticing.

: No Photo Mode sort of camera, they are wasting a very good graphics engine.

: No propper Multiplayer, no Split Screen or Multiple cars on tracks Online. Its all Time Trial sort of stuff.

From a company wich is British (Warwickshire). They are forcing alot of American on us.

Good things now...

: Graphics, very very very good.

: Sounds are fantastic, when you land from a jump, you get a great sound of the bottom of the car hitting the floor.

: Career mode is good, working your way up from the bottom level to the top.

It is a very good game though. Easy to pick up and play. If you can stand Pastrana and the other American guy, get this game.

I'm waiting to see how the PS3 version turns out first... Don't have a PS3 at the moment but it's only a matter of time before I do.

Just been reading the GameSpot Review and a part of it says:

The only damper on the category is your codriver, an obnoxious, bro-sounding dolt whose dialogue sounds like it was written by a nonnative English speaker and whose only reference for the language was reruns of Saved By the Bell. Lines like "Smooth and steady; I'm Mr. Smooth, and you're Mr. Steady," and "Yeah! We won the championship! I'm so stoked!" are funny once, but then they're annoying from there on out. At least he gives you some good info on the tracks before you race.

Writen by a nonnative English speaker? The guy who came up with those lines must have been a yank in the first place... I remember one from the demo "pressure? pressure is for the tyres not the driver".... <<< Not cool... not cool at all lol
