getting a wii

my friend is going into the navy and he said that while he's gone i could have his wii! lol i was pretty excited. so what does everyone think about it? i am looking forward to the new games or i guess the same games that are going to be newer.

actually Red Steel rocked for a game that was rushed. I cannot wait for Red Steel 2. Mario Strikers Charged is best Multiplayer out now and Metroid Prime 3 is the best single player. Im getting MySims the 18th

haha seems like a lot of good games are out. it just seems like nintendo goes with their games that they always have and they dont expand to like halo and the more gory games and that makes them lose some fans

but thats what i like about nintendo, they havnt gone nuts with the shoot em' ups and gtas and violence, they just keep things simple and make fun games without all that halo nonsense. nintendos mission is to expand the gaming audience to people who normally wouldnt pick up a game.

Actually there are gory games. Resident Evil 4 is a must buy even if it is a port. Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles looks good. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 which is coming out in Novemeber will have 32..yes 32 multiplayer online. Also Manhunt 2 is still going to come out for the Wii this halloween. There are many good games coming out.

i have mixed feelings, i luved the 1st smash bros but melee.....not so much. and they havnt confirmed online yet which they HAVE to add or the game wont be nearly as good. also my fav character ness isnt in brawl :(

They are taking out ness over jiggily puff! no way ness is my secondary I cant believe that they would do that......and why would it need to be online so far theres only like 1 or 2 games that have good online play anyway if they mess it up then it wont be a very good hit i wouldent be supprised if it wasent online.

it felt like i was pillow fighting in melee, it just wasnt as satisfying fighting in melee as the 1st smash bros or other good fighter games

Yeah I'd be careful with the Wii. Either the game is a good port from Xbox (Call of Duty 3) BUT handles horrible, or it's a crappy game that handles good. Hehe.

My best bets are Zelda, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. If you have family, throw in some Mario PARTAY.

u go online threw nintendo wifi kinda like the ds with the friend codes and whatnot. u can play a friend or some random person and no they havnt confirmed ness yet

Online is free, adapters however for WI-Fi cost something. I bought a USB adapted that plugs into the back of the Wii, then i just use an Ethernet cable pluged into a spare modem i have sitting in my room for online. The adapter cost about £10-£15.

Im not sure about Wi-Fi, you will have to look in the manual (Which everyone has a fear of) or go to Nintendo's website and look it up.

I'm not sure exactly, i would reckon about $15-$25. Things are generally cheaper in the US as well.

Sweet deal.
It was back in April when I got mine. It turned out my dad got home from work, called the Wal-Mart, and they had some on the shelf. The woman on the phone was kind enough to hold one for me until I got there, it wouldn't have mattered though, three more consoles came in while I was buying mine, with two still sitting in the shelf. Talk about perfect timing.
