"Destiny Novel" takes place in a modern-day setting, in a small nameless town in Japan.

Plot Summary
Kuro Iizuna is an oridinary and average 2nd year High School Student, and has recently been bored with his life. With his only hobby consisting writing short and simple stories and posting them on the internet for others to view. Kuro has never viewed this hobby as his special talent. But that view is changed shortly after Kuro takes possession over his own Destiny Novel - a supernatural and powerful book that records all events of the owner's entire life and grants them the ability to modify their life, through the use of a simple writing utencil - specifically a lead pencil. Using this book, Kuro was able to remember certain key events from the past that he forgotten and predicted that his death will occur at the age of 83. He then edits key events in his future, causing him to run down a more "exciting" road. Things start to look well for Kuro. However.. Kuro checks his Destiny Novel and notices that it has been completely altered. The book ends at Chapter 15. Shortly after the present events occuring in Kuro's life, it tells descriptive details of Kuro's death which will occur in less then twenty minutes for Kuro..

It appears that Kuro and a group of misunfortunate students have been dragged into a twisted game of survival, whereas the winner will earn the title of God and his or her Destiny Novel will be granted the ability to control not just their own lives but rather have absolute control over all existence.


There's no limit of how many people you can have. Just remember; the more characters, the bigger risk of having more complications.

The first of the Destiny Novel owners. Originally known as "The One" by Balatro (or The Boy). However, because of his inferior appearence, he has been comically known as "That Guy" by the other Destiny Novel owners. Little do they know, as how dangerous Kuro really is..

A young oridinary student, living with his father. With average grades, mediocre atheletic skills and sustaining a small social life, Kuro has difficulities standing out from crowds for his lack of interesting characteristic traits. On the other hand, Kuro likes blending in with the crowd in order to avoid unwanted attention - a common trick he used to get out of trouble's way. Depressed and bored, he just thinks of his life as "just another typical stain on the wall" which will eventually wash off. Before obtaining the Destiny Novel, Kuro's hobby consist of writing simple short stories and posting them on the internet. It was his only real talent and he once thought of it as he only purpose in life. He is an incredbly fast writer because of this hobby, being able to write a full paragraph in merely fifteen seconds.

For his personalty, Kuro is straight-foward and easygoing. He's somewhat quiet around others, not talking for a long period of time or never talking about an interesting topic. He is seen awfully bored and seems to possess a rather blank-state of mind, ignoring his surroundings. Before obtaining his Destiny Novel, Kuro was a docile and obedient person who never did anything outrageous or outstanding, as he dislikes having any unnesscary consequences in the future. Though he may not look heroic, he possesses hidden courage that allows him to think carefully and strategically in desperate siduations. However his naivety and cockiness sometimes get the better of him - especially when he gains the upper hand.

She attacks Kuro and other captive students..

Shiru is typically seen as a cheerful, beautiful girl with good grades. She is very popular in her social life, attracting many of her male classmates (especially Kuro). Despite this, she is very mystreious.. and many has made up strange rumours about her and her past lifetime..

A student from Kanto, who looks similar to Kuro. He is the third owner of a Destiny Novel.. He plays an important role to Kuro.

Hito is a young timid student from Kanto, who lacks social skills. He is somewhat shy around people and plans to make some friends. Many of his traits are similar to Kuro's in a way, but notable differences are; Kuro is more creative while Hito is more logical, Kuro is more open-minded while Hito only trusts himself, Hito is a bit of a coward, Kuro relies on his Destiny Novel more then Hito and both have different problems in life, as Kuro is extremely bored with his life while Hito feels lonely in his life. Also, Hito likes reading stories, whereas Kuro likes writing them instead - a complete reversal.

Takasi is a quiet person who doesn't say anything unless he needs to. This is partly because he is highly intelligent and knows people can be listening at all times. But it is partly because he is a Dyslexic and so gets words jumbled up alot, and so he beleives the best to stop this is to not say anything. Takasi hates his father with a passion, as when he has younger, his father would hit himself and his mother in violent drunken rages.

Takasi works has an apprenticeship in Mechanics, while studying art at his local university. He loves working on cars, vans and whatever else comes into the garage he works at, aswell as driving cars. He owns a Mitsubish Lancer Evo VIII MR which his mother bought for him on his 18th birthday.

Teachers have never had such a great and trouble-making student like him before. He's smart and gets good grades in class, but never tries. He only gets good grades so he doesn't get kicked off the basketball team.. He's ALWAYS falling asleep in class, he's ALWAYS breaking girls hearts, he's ALWAYS seen with earphones in his ears... He doesn't really care about anything other then basketball, which is the only thing he actually tries in. He thinks everything is a complete joke. He says until the day he turns Pro, he's not going to try at anything or be serious about life. He's also very... Unpredictable. One day, he could be the best student in class, being polite and everything, but the next day, he could be the worst... Everyone thinks that he's hiding his true feelings behind this shell. This and that he's the star on the Basketball Team, gives him alot of attention. He's popular in school, it's rare to find someone who doesn't know him. But, none of this attention he really cares about. He transfered to this school just a year before, with his mom and dad splitting up. He wanted to stay with his dad, over in the U.S., considering he's mixed (half black, half japanese), although you can't really tell with him. His brother you can tell, though. Anyway, he wanted to stay in the U.S. so he could have an easier time being himself and getting to the Pros. But, he was forced to move to Japan with his mother and brother, which makes it even harder for him, considered he left the girl he truely loved. (See? Hides behind Shell... Ahhh.) So, he focuses all his attention completely on basketball, so he can still get a chance to go Pro, now that it's going to be alot harder for him, playing at a Unknown, Basic School... He goes by his father's name "Turner", while his brother and mother go by "Dobashi", causing even more confusion about him... Once the story flows, you'll get to know him better.

Well. Everyone's in. There were a few mistakes made, but nothing too crucial for me to make a big deal out of it. The only problems I personally have - @Inferno, Ice & Nova, It'll be difficult in having your characters getting involved in this story due to their age. I was hoping for only characters close the range of Kuro's age (14, 15, 16) but.. whatever. I'll figure something out. For the meantime, I guess the three of your characters will have to be absent for the meantime.

Anyways, I'll be starting now, since this is enough people. Now.. This is quite challenging for me, as this story works completely different in comparison from my previous stories.

In a plain classroom. Room number 4-A (Fourth floor).
All students are writing a rather big test. This is their final exam. Kuro-*drops his pencil and turns his test over* ... Done. Student-*notices Kuro* U-uwah.. (This guy's done already?! o_O) Kuro-Heh heh.. Kuro's narration-This is our last exam. I just finished it in twenty minutes. Surprised? Well.. I have this uncanny feat of being able to write at incredible speed. Er.. Wow, that sounded lame. But as lame as that sounds, this feat is pretty damn helpful. But besides - I guessed the entire exam! Haha! It doesn't matter anyway, since I currently have a good mark. I can't fail. Kuro-... *yawns out loudly* Ugh.. Kuro's narration-Well.. After this, the school year is officially over. Kuro-... Kuro's narration-Strange.. I don't feel very excited. In fact, I feel kinda sad that school's over. School feels like.. the only place where I'm able to stand out. Whereas in other places.. I feel invisible. Kuro-*sighs and places his head on the desk* ...

Kuro's narration-I feel like.. my life really has no significant meaning. That I'm just another stain on the wall, a nuiscience to the universe - like I'm just taking up valuable space in the world. The things I do, the things I don't do.. In the end, I will die and dissapear into nothingness just like any other being. So.. Does it really about what I do in life? Does it even matter if I live or not? Am I even alive, am I even real? ... O-oh! Er.. Sorry about that. Haha. Let me introduce myself. I'm Kuro, Iizuna Kuro. Age 15. I'm just your typical, average student here. With mediocre grades and atheletic skills, it's tough trying to get people to recognize you. But it doesn't really bother me not to stand out from crowds. But, I'm certainly no loser. Nah.. I have a rather good social life. Got plenty of good friends. And I have a good relationship with my parents. You can see us as one big happy family. There's no strife between us, unlike with other families who have eventually broken up later in life. I'm a pretty loveable guy, once you get to know me of course. However.. There is one problem in my life.. Just one. And what would that exactly be?

LIFE IS BORING.

But.. luckily. I have a friend - a weird friend that is - who's also bored of life and I'm able to sympathize with him. Who is this friend? Well.. His name is Balatro. And thanks to him, my life becomes alot more interesting.

[Chapter Zero]
Everyone is seen walking together as a group, leaving school. Student-Ah! I'm beat! That exam was freakin hard!! But, it's finally over.. ^_^ Student 2-*holds out an envelope in front of his face* Heh heh! How cool is this! We've been invited to Misaki's party! Kuro-*holding an envelope* An invitation, eh? To Misaki's party.. Misaki's that rich chick, right? Student-?.. You're coming, right Iizuna-san? Kuro's narration-I seriously hate when people call me that. Kuro-Well.. Uhm. I'm kinda busy.. Student-You have to come!! It's Misaki!! T_T M-I-S-A-K-I! Kuro-Okay, okay.. Well. It depends on who's going. If none of my friends show up, there's no point in going. Student-Well! I'm going! So that gives you one reason to go! *looks back* Hey! Are any of you going?

I think the better question is "Who isn't going?" This thing's gonna be huge! ^_^ *to Ken* Hey, Ken. Are you going? Ken-*spins his hat around so it's to the side* Hmph.. Of course not. I gotta get ready for summer ball. *sarcastically* Oh, wait.. I forgot. This school doesn't have basketball in the summer, while the school I'm supposed to be at does. -_- Eishi-*sweatdrops* I guess that's a yes? I mean, if the star of the basketball team doesn't show up at these things, people might stop coming to our games. Kuro-Eh.. Well, maybe it's because. We don't like Misaki? Kuro's narration-Well.. At least, I don't. Misaki and I.. had a little conflict back when we were younger. She hates me with a passion, so I'm not sure if going to this party is a good idea. Student-Don't like Misaki?! How can you say that?! Kuro-*ignores the student* ... *looks at his envelope* Misaki, huh? Kuro's narration-Then again. Mom and dad said they won't be home for tonight, leaving me with just garbage for food.

On the streets..
A couple of students leave the group, waving their hands at everyone. Student-See ya at the party, guys! Kuro-*waves back at the student and puts his hand down* ... *yawns* If I remember correctly.. You guys live down the same street as mine, right?

Hikari: I do. ^_^;; Kenko: *had been walking with them the entire time* I don't. I live on the next street over. *sighs* (I wonder if I should go to Misaki's party. It probably wouldn't make much of a differents. My parents are out of town, leaving me home alone since my uncle's always out getting drunk, so he wouldn't even notice I'd be gone.. So maybe I should go.)

Inside Kuro's house..
Kuro-*opens the door and walks in, closing the door behind him* I'm home! ... ... ... Kuro's narration-Who am I kidding? I'm the only here.. Kuro-... *takes his shoes off, then heads inside - up the stairs* Inside Kuro's room. Kuro-... *places his school bag on the computer chair, then lays down on the bed* Agh.. ... ... ... *wipes his forehead* So hot.. *checks the envelope again, then opens it and reads the invitation* ... Starts at 19:30.. Huh? *looks at his wristwatch* ... It's 16:34. I think.. I'll go and space-out once more, to kill some time. *closes his eyes* ... Balatro.

In another dimensional realm, it's unknown if this is Kuro's imagination or an actual place..
Kuro-*looks around* Hey! Balatro-san!! A very tall, shady figure appears in front of Kuro. He is sitting at a desk, writing on a very long sheet of paper. Kuro's narration-This is Balatro-san. I'm not really sure who he is.. He states he's our God. But I'm sure he's just part of my imagination I made up because of my extreme boredom. Balatro-*notices Kuro* Hmm? Kuro.. Spacing out back on Earth again, I see. Let's avoid turning that into a habbit, Kuro. Kuro-Y-Yeah.. Alright. I was just bored at the moment.. Kuro's narration-In case your wondering.. Spacing out for me works alot differently from others. It's difficult to explain, but in short terms.. When I space out, I enter this "dream-like world" to meet Balatro-san, while back in reality I'm still active. Right now, I'm probably deciding whether I should go to Misaki's party or not. Kuro-Hey.. Balatro-san. I have a question.. I want your opinion on this. I've been invited to this girl's party and-- Balatro-Misaki, is it? You two had quite a bad relationship with each other in the past. Kuro-Er.. Yeah. Should I go to her party? Balatro-Well.. If you don't go, what would you do at home? Kuro-Well.. I was gunna write a couple of short stories again and place them on my site and see what kind of response I would get. Balatro-... You seem pretty interested in writing stories, Kuro. Student 1-T-This is Misaki's house..!? O_o Her parents must be loaded!! Student 2-Damn.. I envy Misaki. Even if I work really hard for ten years, I would never have the money to buy this kind of house! Student 3-I never been inside these kind of homes before.. I wonder what's inside. Kuro-... Uh?! *looks around, acting a bit surprised* ... *scratches his head, looking nervous* (Ahaha.. Already at the party? Damn.. That was fast.) Student 2-Hey, Kuro-kun! Are you ready to stuff your face once you head in? I bet Misaki has a freakin buffet all ready and cooked inside, just waiting for us! Kuro-... That's pratically the only reason why I came.

Leon: I can't wait until we go inside... I'm gonna eat everything I possibly could! (Besides, it's not like I can cook at home.) Hikari: Wow... I wish I could have a house like this...

A large engine roar can be heard. It dies down and a door slam is heard. A few moments later, a tall man stops walking and stands with the rest of the people. He is wearing a pair of ripped jeans, a smart, yet casual white shirt, a pair of dark black sunglasses and a pair of white trainers/sneakers. He has dark brown hair with spiked blonde highlights. He is of a slightly muscular build.

Takasi- *looks round, and smiles* This is the kind of place most people could only imagine living in...

Then, Eishi and Ken both walk in behind Takasi. Eishi is wearing a tuxedo and Ken is wearing a simple polo with jeans and a Jordan hat that's exactly like his black one, only white. Ken looks bored. Everyone heads inside and enters a large fancy room.
Around every sight, there's tables filled with rows of various food. There's several round tables for everyone to sit at and eat, all very well organized. Student 1-... ... ... O_O Student 2-This.. This is.. Just.. wow. I have no words to describe this! Kuro-*looking somewhat amazed* M-Misaki really put alot of thought into this party.
