You can tell by my username that I am an 'older' gamer, but I wondered what everyone thought about people that quit games? I really enjoy Fifa 2008 with Xbox Live, but get frustrated when people quit early - especially on the very odd occasion when I am actually looking like I might win a game! And can anyone tell me if I lose the points accrued in a game that someone bails out on early?

What annoys is when the person who quits is the host of the game as it means it ends early. You however do get the points etc as far as i'm aware. WHat annoys me more though is the constant xenophobia which seems to pop up when playing and someone is talking on their mic.

Well, the main reason people quit is because they don't want to lose. I heard it happenes alot on Top Spin 3, the rival quits and you don't get the win. It was the same on another game where the rival you were playing would reset his modem and get the win and good stats while you lose and get another loss on your record, i think it was on some Wrestling games.
It is annoying that there are people on XBL solely playing because they think they are "Ub3r 1337" and don't want any losses so they can show their "Ub3r 1337" friends.

Winning/losing not that important - I am just trying to enjoy a little healthy competition - but it does seem like xbox live is 'life/death' to some people. I also hear some terrible abuse through my tv - even though I do not use a mic set - and have to wonder at the 'intelligence' of people that get so upset about a video game!
