Just a small thread, something to throw in the nearly dead Trash Talk. The point of this thread is to.. well.. discuss random topics. Somebody starts a certain topic and we start discussing about it until somebody changes the topic or until this thread dies. Think of it as some kind of chat room or something.. I dunno. The topics can be about anything really. Just nothing offensive.

Well, I'll start off. The first topic will be about modern-day television shows.

... Is it just me, or does watching television feel like some kind of insane purgatory? Am I the only who feels like this?! The only thing interesting on TV is the news and I'm dead serious.. That's ridiculous.

Meh the channels I watched as a kid, Nick, Disney, and CN, have all gone down the tube. Maybe it's just my attitude towards kid's shows now but these dont have the epicness that the ones that aired when I was a kid had. All I watch now is Discovery Channel and Comedy Central, add in some Family Guy and thats my TV watching

I never watch TV anymore. I just watch movies and crap like that. All my favorite shows are off atm but will hopefully be back in Jan.

I seriously miss some of the old cartoons back in the day. Does anyone remember watching Animaniacs? That show was awesome! Wow.. I was watching some clips on Youtube and I had a major nostalgic moment.

Rocko's Modern Life, Aaah Real Monsters, Pinky and the Brain, Tom and Jerry, Dexter's Laboratory, etc, etc. You don't find shows with this quality anymore

Tom and Jerry still comes on. :) I watch it whenever I possibly can. But I really miss the shows I used to be able to watch every day before I went to kindergarden. >_> Ever since then, I've never been able to watch ANYTHING. >_<

Fuϲking YES! I still get a whole lot of songs from that show in my mind all the time, and it was funny as all hell! Finally someone else that has heard of it =P

I usually watch Discovery Channel, Comedy Channel, sometimes the free to air channels if there's anything good on. I mostly end up watching science-y programs as they're what interest me most, as well as some cartoons like Sponge Bob. I don't care, I find it funny =P

I've got a nice collection of DVD's though, which are good to watch... A lot of TV series, Music and movies so I don't get too bored of watching stuff, I just have to be in the mood of watching TV or the like first..

Ya KidsWB before and during the Pokemon Johto time was awesome. Jackie Chan, Freakazoid, Batman The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, pinky and the brain, tiny toon adventures, etc etc etc. Today cartoons are porrly wirtten. Well they can be good for the first season or two but they become uncreative fast.

Ohhh. I miss Jackie Chan. That was a good show. So was Pokémon up until they got to the Hoenn region. Then it just got stupid.

I agree about the cartoons being poorly written though. Ben 10 disgusts me completely now. >_>

Thats the thing Ben10 seems like a kiddish show but it intrested me. Now they grew up and I'm not feeling it. And pokemon died for me when they fired the old cast.

Cartoon Network died for me when they put Miguzi in the place of Toonami. Toonami what the sh*t man. They showed Dragonball Z, Outlaw Star, Gundam, Yu Yu Hakshow or whatever. They had all the good shows.

I imagine it will be the same thing it is today but with new shows, new channels and new features. Let's see ten years...2018. Man. Wonder what things we will have then. Wonder what Video Games would look like or how would they be played? Graphics can only get so good. I don't think it can get better then what our eyes see. Will they be played like we play them now? Will they be like Virtual Reality? Haha. I can't imagine a time where the Wii, 360 and PS3 are treated like an NES or an Atari.

Well, logically, everything will probably be imported into our Personal Computers, just for the ultimate convenience. No more TVs, no more game consoles.. Our computers will become EVERYTHING.

Anyway, on TV, I watch comedy shows (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, That 70s Show, and The Boondocks). And I watch Code Geass alot, too. It's a verry good anime, if you're not watching it on Adult Swim, then shame on you. -_- And I watch basketball a bunch and that's pretty much it... And, I think that if the Computer were everything, that'd be crap. o_O'' Lol.

Rush Hour 3? That movie was okay.. Kinda dissapointed me but it was a good movie nonetheless.. I personally thought it kinda sucky compared to both Rush Hour 1 and 2. Still, I haven't seen Jackie Chan nor Chris Tucker for a while. It was nice to see those two together again.

Lol, and don't worry about the computer thing so much. That won't probably happen anytime soon.. It would take over nine thousand centuries later or something. But expect AI controlled humanoids to appear somewhere in your future life..

By the way, I did watch the Olympics for a few hours this weekend. Michael Phelps was definitely owning his competition. The one weakness he had (breast stroke) seems to be nonexistent now.

I also do remember the Animaniacs among many of the shows that have been mentioned here. I do glance at TV every once in a while and I have definitely noticed the decline in quality of cartoons. It is a shame, really.

Man i missed the basketball game versus Greece this morning but i heard we put the smackdown on them by 24 points:P.

I loved Tiny Toon Adventures. It seems like they've taken all the great cartoons as well as anime off of tv. The only good ones are Bleach and Death Note. Naruto has just been boring as i dont know what lol:P.

All they ever show on cartoon network is Ben 10, Pokemon(which has become really lame the last couple of years), and a few other random thrown together cartoons.

Bring back the 90's and early 2000's:P

lol I Freshmen year sucked because I hated being labled a freshmen. But you have three years after to make fun of all the little freshmen and Junior year this year will be no different. Now new topic! What games are you guys playing? I beat story mode in Too Human and now im just trying to collect more items and leveling up. Also been playing Mario Kart Wii online on Battle. I dont think Im that good at battle but I always get the most coins or the most points in battle. Either Im good or we need to get rid of the crappy casual players.

Im still working on the achievements for Mass Effect. I've been playing alot of Call of Duty 4 online too.

Halo 3 sucks.period. If you wanna play Halo, get Halo CE for the PC. Halo Wars seems like its going to redeem the Halo name.

Heh, I played Lokoroko again the other week. finished it again though.. Playing whatever FIFA game I have again as well, decided to play something different to what I had played mostly.

-EDIT-Talking about the status of the forums, these forums need a revamp. We need to takes inactive staff out and appoint new staff. We need to delete all the inactive members. We need to switch inactive forums with forums about todays populars games. The only major change we had was a new skin and that was awhile ago. I also think that changes should be made to the site. We should be allowed to put in reviews for games like The Genie.net had and awarded points for it. This is how I think we should refresh these forums. Then we need to up the advertising. I will troll 100 boards just to get members if I have to.
