This game looks so amazing. Creating new guns from your broke down ones. Killing people with teddy bears. October 28 can't come quick enough if you ask me. So is anyone else besides me looking forward to Fallout 3? If so what about it has you so excited?

Is it me or was the ending to Fallout 3 ****ed? The developers must have been extremely lazy.
That last mission p!ssed me off for all the wrong reasons. It was UNBELIEVEABLY easy, if not, almost impossible to die. I was hoping to have an epic fight with some super bio-weapon creature but WTF? What a terrible ending to a great game... Hopefully this Broken Steel thing coming out in march can redeem the game from it's assy ending.
I am serious - I have never been so mad at a video game ending. ... Well.. Excluding Halo 2's ending - but I didn't really care much about Halo anyway..

The Ending felt rushed to me but other then that the final mission and everything else about the game was very nice. Also, the first expansion, titled "Operation: Anchorage" will come out Janurary and the next 2 will come out Feburary and March.

Does anyone else find the repair system lousey? I dunno.. I just find it mind boggling that in order to repair a gattling laser gun, you have to go and find another one of them (which is tiresome and annoying) just to fix your broken one. Couldn't you just use scrap metal or something? That would actually make them have some proper use in the game, rather then just having to sell them for cheap money.
I also had a huge issue on followers. Personally, I think most of them are WAY too weak. Even on the easiest difficultity, most will get killed in like three hits from a simple assault rifle. Personally, I was hoping that they would just get knocked out and you'd end up having to fight by yourself for the remaining battle, and after you win the followers would simply get back up. And having one follower seems kinda lame but I suppose having six followers with you at once would make the game almost impossible to die in since you'd just oblitirate everything with all that manpower. Really, I only have followers around in order to carry my stuff.
Also, I'm still gunna b!tch about the ending.. I cannot get over that.

Well you can take it to a repair shop. Lets put it this way, if you had a gun in real life and a bunch of scrap metal you wouldn't be able to repair it yourself, but you'd have more chance salvaging parts off another :D

Repair shops are laughable. Cost too much and they do a sloppy job anyway, so basically they're stealing money from you - and the worst thing about it is that your letting them steal it! Just like real life I guess, haha. Still.. Why does everyone suck so much at repairing? Even the ones who call themselves repairmen! I never met a NPC who's repair skill was higher then 30 and I managed to get my repair skill to a freakin 60 in just three levels.
Well.. Yeah.. realistically, if you want to repair your rifle, you would have to get parts from another rifle. But jeez, this is a video game! XD Half the things in Fallout 3 don't seem like it could happen in real life.. I'm not talking about the whole apocalyptic scenerio of the world getting destoryed and all the mutated abominations (I wouldn't be surprised if this happens in the future.. hopefully it doesn't.). I mean, the fact that a guy will slowly charge at you head-on with a kitchen knife while your aiming a flamethrower at his face, or the fact that you can heal broken limbs by simply sleeping for only one hour - it just doesn't feel realistic.. :P
Still, It'd be pretty interesting to able to repair your weapons by using alternative spare parts and items, not just having to get a similar weapon just to use it's parts. In fact, it'd actually be really cool if you can "upgrade" or "alter" your gear this way. Like if you have a normal Vault suit and you get some metallic parts and stuff and use the work bench, you end up making yourself another Armored Vault suit. Or you could modify the overall conditions and adjustments on your guns, increasing their fire rate or overall damage. Or even give them special attributes like fire damage to burn your enemies or electrical enhancements to cause more damage to robotic targets. It'd also be nice if you can change the appearence of your equipment. The repair system can be improved so much really.. It's a shame on how boring and tedious it is in Fallout 3. But ah well..

If your speech is good in F3, you can convince the woman who sends you to do her book that her book is a waste of time, she then decides to give up on the book, to concentrate on her studies and in turn her repair skill goes up to 54, it did for me anwyay

Heh. Yeah I did like half the quest and then finally saw that option. You get Negative Karma but its better then her her grinding voice for everytime you go get something for her.

You also get a perk, don't you? But it's a lame perk in my opinion.. I mean, reducing the chance of getting hurt by a critical hit? I barely get hit anyway!! I didn't know enemies could even make critical hits.. o_O
But yeah, I was told about that before. But I wanted to get the wasteland survival book perk, to boost up some of my stats. I also wanted to get the shady hat (Pre-war hat which gives sneak bonus) which she gives you for the mirelurk mission. The shady hat with Colonel's Autumn outfit look slick. XD

Completed F3 last night... people who said the ending is sh!t were 100% correct :P
So now what? Start a new game or reload the game from a save point before you end your life?

Well. There's a few good items you get by completeing Operation: Anchorage.
One of the particular items is an armor which I really want, it's a Chinese Stealth Armor, which LOOKS AWESOME. You also get a Gauss Rifle - pretty much the Energy Weapon equvalent to the sniper rifle. In other words, it's pretty damn powerful.
You also get a new perk.. but it sucks ass and the requirements for getting it seems tedious, so whatever.
@Nitrous: It's the first freakin DLC for Fallout, so shut up and ENJOY IT.

I'll be honest - the only reason why I got Anchorage is because I wanted to get the equipment. Outta everyone in my school who has Fallout 3, I'm the ONLY one who actually got Anchorage XD
Still, Anchorage is actually pretty helpful for those who just recently played the game. If you already beaten the game and reached the maximum level of 20, Anchorage is a joke.

The Pitt looks pretty cool though. It's more traditional Fallout.
But Broken Steel will be the big daddy of the all.

Sadly, it was stated that Broken Steel is gunna be the same length as Pitt and Anchorage (roughly five additional hours). I dunno but that kinda dissapointed me a bit - I wasn't expecting a HUGE expansion, like almost another entire game but - just five hours?
On the other hand, Broken Steel does include additional quests, random events and enemies.. so maybe the five hours was only adressed toward the "main" quests in Broken Steel - not the additional and optional ones. I'm hoping that's the case.
