This is a thread that gives stories of Pokemon every thursday or friday of the week. You the reader can simply enjoy the story or comment about it. These are mostly fictional, but some have some truth in them. Its up to you to decide. Okay, first story:

The baby Kangaskhan and the faceless Cubone.

Everyone knows the story of Cubone. It's a ground type Pokemon that has a skull for a helmet. Those who have kept up with the legend know that the skull is from it's deceased mother, said to be killed by team rocket in the red, yellow, and blue days of the game world. Sense that day, Cubone has been in a never-ending depressed mode which has given it the proud classification of "The lonely Pokemon".
Enter, Kangaskhan. If you compare the baby form of Kangaskhan with Cubone, there is an uncanny resemblance. The two share color, shape, and even horns. Could this be the true form of Cubone? Marowak, the evolved form of Cubone, has a helmet that looks alot like the adult Kangaskhan's head. Heres my hypothesis:
A mother and baby Kangaskhan are happily walking in a meadow with their herd. Team Rocket comes to capture the herd, and fearing that they will harm her baby, the mother Kangaskhan attacks. In defense, Team Rocket opens fire and kills the mother. As the Rockets leave, the baby Kangaskhan emerges from the mother's pouch, lonely and sad. It stays with its mother until her body decomposes. Starved, the baby decides to leave, but ashamed of itself for not being able to protect it's mother it uses her skull to sheild it's face from the world. The new Cubone heads off, by itself, into the world.
Does this sound plausible to you? Please comment and give me your idea. Until next week, bye and Happy Thanksgiving!:-)

I can see the resemblance, but I'd think they're different species entirely. Not just because the game says so, lol. The growth and development is so much different and I thought it was only one Cubone that lost its mother... You're testing my knowledge, haha.

Thanks,
HRBEK.

Haha, it could be true if they weren't completely different species. It would be kinda interesting if that was true though.

I also gave the thought of it being a sandshrew. The size revalence seems a little better, but i liked the mother kangaskhan story... <3:happy:
