Well, poor Tom Clancy. Seems to get no respect around here on this board. Fine, let's talk about an awesome Flight Simulator. Tom Clancy's HAWX.

Easily probably the best Flight Simulator I've ever played, and I've played games from All the Ace Combats, to Top Gun, and Delta Storm. This game really made me enjoy piloting an aircraft, even if it wasn't really me personally piloting it, it sure did feel as intense.

Online play was really dissapointing though, let's put it this way, the experience of HAWX online is about the same as going into a UT3 Deathmatch with 8fps and soo much lag, you could fill a jar of mayonnaise with.

I'm not saying the framerate for HAWX is bad, or that it's laggy, but what I am saying, is that you WILL die, you WILL get shot down from what looks like nothing at all, and you WILL find ways to have no idea how they just dodged your heat seeking, straight shot missle, and you just got pwnd by their normal rocket you've been evading for 20 minutes.

Online is bad, unless you can get used to it...like hardcore, but the Offline is a experience I would want everyone to enjoy once.

I havent played it, but is it really better than ace combat 6
i mean the graphics a beautiful in AC6 and half the fun of flying really high in a game is the scenery

Lemme put it this way... Ace Combat was digitalized scenery. HAWX, is Google Mapped....now you decide >:D

I tried the demo for HAWX and didn't like it, but I saw it cheap and decided to try it anyway a few months later. Good thing I did as I really enjoyed it, completed it within a week which isn't somthing I do unless I really like a game.

Its better than Ace Combat and the non assisted view point was brillaint, yes it took time to master it but once done it became so much easier to take down jet fighters!

Ah ha! I've been waiting for you to show up Nitrous, you're my Tom Clancy buddy remember? <33333

Haha. I'm glad you did buy it too. I'd be so upset if me and you didn't share the same opinion about a Tom Clancy game :(

now is it like acecombat where you spend like 5 hours flying around and if you crash ONCE you have to start ALL OVER AGAIN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
because thats what really discouraged me from playing AC6

^Well, realistically.. If you crash in real life, chances are you aren't gunna survive. It's not like Star Fox, where the laws of physics in aerial combat make no sense.

Besides, you would have to suck major ass at life if you kept crashing into things, especially if you play for at least a bit to get used to the controls.
