If it's the first time then do this:

In the first part of fighting him it's pretty easy use Rikku to steal from the two guardians and then attack them and kill them. Once you kill the Guardians, Seymour will summon Anima. You should then summon the Aeon labeled as ????. This is Shiva. Attack Anima with Heavenly Strike. If you need to heal Shiva, have her use Blizzara on herself, because she is Ice Elemental, like Ifirit or Ixion, she can heal herself with her own magic. When you reach Overdrive, unleash Diamond Dust and it will do 9999 damage. repeat the process and you will finish off Anima. When Seymour dismisses Anima, dismiss Shiva immediately, and DO NOT summon Aeons, Seymour will just use Thundaga, Firaga, Blizzaga, or Waterga on it, killing the Aeon. Attack Seymour with all of your Overdrives and be sure to use all of the Nul-spells to block against his elemental attacks. When your Overdrives are gone, keep Yuna and Lulu out at all times. At first have Auron use Magic Break then switch him out for Tidus and cast Haste on everyone. Then have Lulu poison Seymour with Bio and attack relentlessly until he dies. Keeping everyone alive is somewhat difficult so keep curing with Yuna and casting Nul-spells and healing with Life. Remember DO NOT summon Aeons. Good Luck!
