My return to anime !

Recently i have started to watch anime again ! And relised what ive been missing ! My big question is why so much interest in only the newer stuff and PG rated stuff ! I found no mention of the following influential animes : Akira, Ghost in the shell. The new stuff is all fine and dandy but how many of you have watch the 2 afore mentioned films ??

check out dbz, it may be on cartoon network, but there is nothing childish about it...that station just gives it a bad image.

I have seen alot of dbz. I just think its gone on too long and is only OK for an anime.

I've seen Akira but I've never seen Ghost in the Shell ;_; I keep missing it.
