I have a few questions....

Uhhh, this may sound pathetic, even though ive only been here for one week now, but...

1) What is a MOD/What do MODS do?
2)what is an Admin/what does an Admin do
3)what is the Security for/What does the security do?
4)i have an idea about it but....What do the Code Hunters do?

Mods look over a certain forum that they are "modding," and make sure no one flames other people or posts **** or anything like that. They can edit posts and close threads, but only in their forum. Security can do any of the above in any forum. Admins are in charge of the whole site, and can do everything that Security can do. And codehunters submit codes for games.

Then stay for around a month.

Then take a mod application.

Then you get an apprentiship for 1 month.

Then you're a mod.

Wait a few months, do some good things, you will become security.

Unless you're good at web site making, forget doing admin.

Cheat code hunters, submit a few codes, e-mail Genie. But there are not more places.

even if you would be the best person for a new admin, its highly unlikely you will become one..

edit,closeform,open,access to Mod talk If a member of your specifc forum is causing trouble you tell secrity or admin.

that's about right

pretty much mods have the power to do just about anything they want in a particular forum within reason, whatever it takes to keep the peace.

security are like a super mod able to view user IP addresses with power to modify any forum (excluding adminstration) or in the case of our Gold Saucer some private forums. we also have access to the moderators Panel where we can quickly search for members, post announcements, ban/unban users (Screennames not IP)

chances are that if your a good member and have a good knowledge of a certain system, you'll become a mod.

but not forgeting that we can only have a certain amount of mods.

every now and again we have mod clean ups. what happens is we demod innactive mods to make room for new and enthusiastic mods.

yes but u see we have a new mod system which means enthusiastic members turn into bored ones while they wait a month to maybe be come a mod
