Post all things about PC help or trouble.

Question one

My dad bought a laptop. With no windows on it. So we tried to boot windows on it our selfs but no results. How can i Install Windows with a Laptop with a swapable drives (CDROM and Floppy) SO that makes it impossible

You need to change it so it boots right into the cd. If that doesn't work then you don't have a good copy of winodows that you can boot from.

you need a floppy and cdrom to boot windows and rember they are swappable drives

Why do you have to use both. It is either a lot of floppys or one cd. You can boot from either one and install from either one.

well everytime i needed to re-boot windows i used both a floopy disc and a cd-rom

Yeah, that is the best way. You could always download the image of the cd off of somewhere and burn it.....

What version of windows?

my dad has a copy of windows98 (legal) but installing it is the problem because of the swappable drive (Cdrom) (Floppy) Window reqires both drives to be there at the same time to boot it and thats impossible in my case because there swappable (Cdrom) (Floppy) drives
