would u prefer this new apprentice deal or security and admin take a vote for the rest of the mods and we work it on a Commendation program

u start as an ensign mod and every couple of weeks we take a vote on who has been the most helpful/ realiable mod and he gets promoted to the next level

that way members and mods alike know who is who

also mods get a chance to out do each other

It's better this way... Because only the best will pass and the rest fail. That will mean only the ones that deserve to be Mod will become Mod... Rather than the other method. People can vote for people they like, but it won't mean that they actually deserve and will be good Mods! When we are apprentices our teachers look for Behavior, if we help others, and how often we are Online which is what truly counts...

I have seen an improvement in new mods by this training thingy. Although how again was it that i got to my position *looks towards the admins*
I dont think firing is the answer at the moment. We had a large shuffle of mods not too long ago.

Yes if their an inactive mod they should be fired, and if they come back and have a good reason, make them mods again,if it happens again dont makem mods again.

The Apprentice System simply means that you need to get a teacher. He will watch over you, look at your posts and behavior, and simply to say just see how well you are doing and if you deserve to be a Mod. At the end of the Training (1 month) he or she will give you a grade (Pass or Fail). If you pass it is likely for you to become Mod.

The Commendation System takes place once the security either make a thread contaning a poll on who will become a new Mod. The more people that vote for you, the greater the chance you will become Mod. Ofcourse this method wouldn't work. Popular people will always be voted for even if they aren't the right type to become Mod.

Go into User CP near top of screen, and then go into Options and at the bottom there'll be a thing on Avatars... all ya gotta do is browse ur PC for an Avatar that u want (size limit is 80x80)

I was goona become a mod b4 they changed the system, this was around 600 posts,they had made a thread and most ppl were voting for me, and surely i was to become a modbut then they changed it, and i have been waiting for a good 4 or 5 months now.
