I know this question is asked all the time but how do you do it? but the real question is how do you host? because every time I want to put a pic in my sig it shows up as an "x" in my sig. so could someone be so kind as to tell me how to host sigs?

When you host a pic you can't have anything but the pic on the page. Not even text.

You have to get a host that will allow remote linking. Some free servers don't let you host them anymore, so it is rare. If you are really in trouble, then just pay for it, or have one of the hosters host it for you.
Geocities, etc. They won't let you until you pay since it takes up bandwith, and since they are popular, that is a lot of bandwith.

If you change the file extention from .gif or .jpeg to .txt you can host picture and link them from Geocities and other such places.
