Baldurs gate is great. I have both 1 and 2 but none of the expansion packs. RPG;'s are my second fav genre of games. and the baldurs gate series are my fav series of RPGs as they are based on D&D (which i play ! geeky i know)

Hey I'm play'n Darkest Day now and lovin it! I downloaded it with 56k the 1st time from gamespy(14hrs) and it didn't work. Now I have DSL, dl'ed it in no time and it runs fine. btw the save game editor Shadow Keeper v1.6.3 works great with DD, archives new items and everything:cool: I got it at adrenaline vault.

Most download managers have free trials ! you may want to look into getright a bit better and notice the 30 days free trial.

No I did not use the Debug Mode cheats, the walking in BG was diff, the music rox! the surroundings are beatifull! the sphere is great! unlike NWN........

yes.the music is better than all the RPG's i know and play(ed).But,the game isnt very herioc now that ive come to think of it.i want more animations!!!like to see them Block attacks or open a door smoothly with the hands turning ect..like NWN only 2d and in BG.and maby ehtey should make a new BG.With better music.the music is alright but,it just doesnt get you raged.

eg mortal combat is fun to kill ppl.the game anyway. where as BG is just basic combat music.

o, BG 1 had plenty of Rage battle music, believe me.
opening doors with ur hand, no don't make opening doors annoying by adding time, it was perfect the way it was in BG, the door just jumped open when u clicked on it, and blocking wasn't really exciting in NWN,

blcoking and ivading are really cool to watch if your a fighter type.which im a magling.they do enchance the game by putting more actions in.for opening doors.that was just an e.g.

im talking really rage.not evil scary music that says theres a battle on hand.

one last thing.SPPEEEEEEDDDD.

if NWN had speed dodging and all that with extra levels to gain.Then think what a fighter vs fighter type would be.there hacking and slashing there oppennt like 3 times per second and the other guy is dodging and blocking all of em.that would be a battle to see.

Music, Areas, Feeling of the game, more characters in ur team (not just u and a stupid mindless side-kick) , Characters in BG are far more detailed and more fun, World of BG is more fun> so much more to do in it, I can go on for hours but Don't hav the time

so much to do in BG?theres only the story and sub quests.yeh.more ppl is fun.i only go around with a small party of 2 or maybe 1.i can handle everything by myself.but i need a fighter to protect me otherwize i cant cast spells or i may die from melee battles.something my character is ot good at.
