View Full Version : Why did Playstation stop the RE series?

Ok,they seemed to be doing very good selling the Resident Evil games,and then all of a sudden everything just ended and i havent heard a thing about them possibly coming out with 1 more or not,i played Code Veronica and the way it ended i'd figure someone would make another one but it hasnt happened.

Does Playstation not have a contract with Capcom anymore to produce the games?

Ok,i didnt know Gamecube had it...and that is kinda dumb that Playstation doesnt take it back over,i am positive Playstation kills them in sales so it doesnt make sense.

they havnt stopped the RE seireis! its still going! there will be a new game out soon! there a post on here somwhere about it, i made a thread in the ps2 foeum i think!

No, I am pretty sure that all new res evil games will be GC only, Although Capcom may of changed there minds

i believe RE: Code Veronica was the last one for PS2...

but u never know wot may happen...

im sure theres an online RE coming out soon! it was in my psm2 mag! oh well..

Did you not read magazines lately? The game, Resident Evil: Outbreak is going to be the next PS2 gamel. YOu play a recreated version of RE2 where there are like 7 more survivors, and they each have a different trait. (kinda RPGish but not)

He is right though, it is going to be online. You will be able to play with a lot of other people. So I don't understand the GC only thing. If they are still coming out with this game. It is going to be called Resident Evil Outbreak.

recently there is a 2nd RE series that has just been released the PS2,

Resident Evil: Dead Aim, not Outbreak

Dead Aim is a diffent game all together. It is a first person shooter I belive. Outbreak is the name of the online title.
