Photoshop 6.0 works! Yes! ok... now... the down-side is that it is VERY complex and I have no idea how to do anything, and i was wondering if anyone know of some good tutorials or had some good advice for me so I can become one of the pro's?

Yeah I have been doin alot of that!:tup:
I downloaded PH7 off kazaa and got 6.0 with it somehow and i have been using that, but i found 7.0(the reason i wan't using it at first was because it wouldn't work) and now i use that. It's a ton better.

1)I know how to take the BG out of an image, but i dont. I know that u use that magic wand but whenever i get the BG out, i dont know how to take that to the sig i am trying to make. When i do attempt it all that happens is i get the out line of it.

2)When i made me an avy, i tryed to open it at c/d but it said that it was over 10000 bytes or something. so i went back and merged it thinking that was the problam but it wasn't. How can i correct this?

When u go to save, click save as, then change the type to .JPG or .GIF, but clicking the save as type button, or saving it with .jpg or .gif at the end:)

Ctrl + A to select the whole image.
Ctrl + C to copy the selected image.
Ctrl + P to paste the selected image.

First, select the picture you wish to copy and paste. Then use the copy command. Move to the area you wish to paste the image to, then paste it. Now, you may use the Magic Wand to outline the background of the image in order to make a cutout. Or use the Magic Eraser tool.

but how do i make a border? when i look i dont see anything other then edge glow, and that doesn't help.

Make a new layer.
Ctrl + A to select the layer.
Now, go to Edit> Stroke.
Select the stroke's width, and wether its in the outside, inside, or center.
Select a color & opacity (transperancy).

Now experiment to get different styles.

after i do that is there something else? i did that but it left my box white. I will tell u what i am doing.

I am makin one of those things that you and matrix make. how you have your name and cheatingdome or wtv. the border is so it will look good obviously and i am tryin to make the border around my name clear but so u know that its there. like in ur sig. for shadow prince and all that. that's were i am at right now. i have good filters and all but i dont know how to do that stuff.

ah. i knew u would be. I know that its scetchy and all so i guess i will try again. but section it off.

1.I am trying to make one of those graphic things where you have the clear thing or what ever(i dont know what its called) over your name.(exactly like in ur sig) You told me how to do the border but I couldnt get that to work. I figured that you told me how to make it clear, that is what you do for your name(like in ur sig)but I was wrong.

2.I have all the filters and stuff down for the BG. I also need to know how to make the lines thicker. For how you make it go from your know to the text that decribes your name. And to know how to make the line glow.

Thats all. If there is anything that I need to know, please tell me. :) This is my first time trying this and also I might to a sig. Right now I am just going to use this for a 500 X 600 for practice.
