start a new doc 444x444, select gradient, change mode to difference, do about ten, then a different colour once or twice, then use all the filters for practise,

remember:

CTRL + N= new doc
CTRL + ALT + Z= undo last action (better than undo(CTRL+Z))
CTRL + SHIFT + Z= redo last action,

quite handy:)
