Problem with RESET button after Sonic 3 cheat

Hey guys. I'm new to this forum so forgive me if this thread is in the wrong section. I just did the 2nd version of the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 level select cheat where one pulls out the Sonic 2 cartridge,holds A, puts in the Sonic 3 cartridge, and then releases A. I did that cheat and now I can't do it again because my RESET button is not working. Does anyone know why my RESET button would get stuck. Any solutions to fix that? I have the pre-1993 Sega Genesis console if that info helps. Thanks.

it isnt stuck because of that cheat it is the old system and the RESET button is prolly just stuck or it was pressed down to much and it no longer works

ive never heard of a reset button not working, must be a rare problem

if it gets packed up with dirt and sticky fingers touching it and such it gets packed up

Actually I think this is a common problem. Once in a while my reset button wouldn't work. I think it was just a design problem.

wait tell me how to do that code. which reset button was it? the one where you can put in headphones, or the other one (that i have)
