Latios and Latias, Double Trouble, The story, Not a RPG
Ray was looking after his little sister while his parents were out. His sister was watching the TV when a special report came on cutting into Ray’s sister’s favourite show. “Aww, I hate the news,” moaned his sister. “This just in, strange red and blue Pokémon have been sighted flying around Hoenn,” explained the news reporter. Ray was in the kitchen when his sister asked him, “Ray, what are those?” Ray walked into the living room. When he saw the Pokémon he told his sister, “I don’t know Rose.” “Well then check your thingy that tells you about Pokemon, err what is it now, oh yeah, your Pokédex,” his sister told him arrogantly. Ray pulled out his Pokédex. The Pokédex first gave information on the red Pokémon. “Latias, one of the legendary Pokémon, Latias is highly intelligent and capable of understanding human speech,” the Pokédex explained. It then described the blue Pokémon, “Latios, one of the legendary Pokémon, Latios is capable of flying faster than a jet by folding in its legs to minimize air resistance.” “Legendary!?” exclaimed Ray. Ray was ready to explode, he wanted to get out and catch Latias and Latios before anyone else, especially before his Rival, Gaz, who had been his Rival since before Ray could remember, but he couldn’t go, he had to look after his sister Rose. Just when he was about to sit down grumpily, his parents came in. As soon as they got in the house, Ray got out of the house. He pulled out his Pokédex again and checked the location status for Latios and Latias. Ray put his Pokédex away and threw a pokéball into the air while shouting, “Rayquaza, go!” The pokéball opened revealing Rayquaza from a white beam of light. The dragon roared with might. Jack climbed on Rayquaza and told it to fly above Hoenn looking for Latios and Latias. After an hour of looking, Ray was about to give up when red and blue dots caught his eye. “They can’t be, can they, Rayquaza, go full speed up to those red and blue dots,” ordered Ray. Rayquaza did just that and soon they were just behind Latios and Latias. Ray gave Rayquaza a signal to go a little higher. He didn’t speak so the two birds he was following didn’t realise they were being chased. He kept following them until they stopped for some water. Rayquaza landed and Ray crept off it. He returned Rayquaza and sent out Golbat. “Golbat, use mean look on both Latios and Latias,” whispered Ray. Latios and Latias turned round and saw Golbat. Then, Golbat used the Mean Look attack. The two Psychic/Dragon Pokemon tried to escape but Mean Look prevented it. “Don’t try to escape Latios and Latias, you can’t,” Ray told them. Latias understood and stayed to battle. Latios however was still tying to escape. “Golbat, Wing Attack on Latios,” ordered Ray. It was a direct hit. Latios however, reacted very badly to the wing attack and knocked Golbat out with Luster Purge. Ray decided to send out two Pokemon as Latios and Latias were both battling together. “Rayquaza, Salamence, Go!” Ray shouted. “Rayquaza, Salamence, both use Dragonbreath.” Latios and Latias both got hit directly. Latias fell to the ground and Ray sent an Ultra Ball at it. It caught Latias. “Rayquaza, Extremespeed, Salamence, Flamethrower,” Ray shouted. Latios dodged the Flamethrower but got hit by Extremespeed. “Salamence, Fire Blast, Rayquaza, combine your Fire Blast with Salamence’s Fire Blast to make Double Fire Blast,” Ray told his two Dragons. Latios took the Blast and fell to the floor. “Ultra Ball, Go,” Ray shouted throwing the Ball. It shook twice but Latios escaped and knocked out Salamence with Dragon Rage. Ray returned Salamence and told Rayquaza to use Blizzard. Latios tried to stay up but it couldn’t and it fainted. Ray threw a Pokéball at Latios and it caught it with ease.
“Yes Latios and Latias are mine,” Exclaimed Ray. “Now Rayquaza, Fly us home.”
When Ray got home, he showed his parents what he had done. “Wow, Ray, Those two are Legendary, We better tell the media,” Ray’s Parents Exclaimed. 30 minutes later, the media arrived and conducted an Interview with Ray. “We are here live at Littleroot Town with the lucky trainer who as managed to catch Latios and Latias, the two Legendary Psychic/Dragon Pokémon, so what is your name young man?” asked the Interviewer. “My name is Ray Dragon,” Ray replied. “Alright, Ray, how does it feel to own not one, but two legendary Pokemon?” asked the Interviewer. “It’s feels excellent, owning two Legendaries is a rare occasion,” replied Ray. “Well that’s all we really need to know, we hope you have more success with Legendary Pokemon in the future,” The Interviewer said. When the media was gone Ray’s rival Gaz came over and challenged Ray. “Let’s see if your really capable of controlling Latios and Latias,” he said. “Blaziken, Swampert, Go!” “Fine, Latios, Latias, Go!” Ray replied.” Use Luster Purge both of you.” Blaziken and Swampert fainted instantly. Gaz returned his Pokémon and ran off.
The next Day, Ray challenged the Elite Four and wiped the floor with all of them. “Congratulations, you are the new Hoenn League Champion,” Drake said when Ray beat him.
“Yes, I am the Ultimate Pokemon Master!” shouted Ray.
