Malchor Harpell?

I'm playing BG2 for the millionth time. I've noticed after the last fight with Bohdi when ever I go to a new area where it autosaves a mage or wizard named Malchor Harpell keeps following me. I can't talk to him. He won't die and if you attack him he does nothing. I can't save or rest or talk to anybody like shopkeepers or inkeepers. Does anybody know how to get rid of bugs without messing up the game?

well modty of the time the bugs fix themselves but sometimes u have to sue the debug mode cheats and jsust blow him up

I think u mean the irritating mage/harper thingie,
He appears when u fought Bodhi and took Drizzt Do' Urden's stuff (armor, scimitars) but he should talk to u that he demands the stuff back ,

use the Debug Mode cheat, point ur mouse over him and press CTRL-Y if that doesn't work presss something like ctrl-a or ctrl-p or something, anywayz experiment with the ctrl-(letter) thing cauz there is an option that u can let him join ur team, when u did that search the ctrl thing again to kick him out of ur team (diff letter so search )

The thing is Drizzt didn't die and I didn't take his stuff, so therefore the mage didn't ask for anything back. He just appeared. I'll try whatyou said, though. Thanks.
