i just heard that the new GTA game is only going to be playable for Ps3.that would be sooooo ****ing gay.has anyone else know about this,for sure!?!?!:swear:

Take 2 confirms the next instalment will ship late next year. The hype starts here.

Grand Theft Auto is the biggest gaming phenomenon of this generation. No contest. In terms of critical acclaim, units shifted and artistic innovation nothing else comes close. Which might put some noses out of joint, but try naming another series that unites hardcore and casual gamers so effortlessly. So it's hardly surprising that the next game is surrounded by so much rumour, with Las Vegas and San Andreas both tipped as the likely location.

Truth is, there aren't hard facts at all right now. However, we do know this. According to Take Two's executive vice president, Cindi Buckwalter, the next GTA game will ship before the end of the company's fourth fiscal quarter in 2004. Which, for those of you without accounting qualifications (and that's everyone here, right?) means we can expect to see the game in shops before 31 October. Expect the hype to reach levels which would relegate the second coming to '...and finally' status.




Meanwhile, Rockstar releases its latest enfant terrible on 21 November. Manhunt takes the stealth genre to its logical, but brutal, conclusion. Anyone who's played Splinter Cell will recognise the thrill of sneaking up behind a guard, and then savouring the moment while he stands there unaware that death is lurking just metres away in the shadows.

But whereas traditional stealth games have discouraged you from wiping out all your enemies (either by limiting ammo or making it 'out of character' to do so) the whole point of Manhunt is to kill in the most brutal way possible. Suffocation with a plastic bag and a shard of glass rammed into the jugular being just two possible methods. We'll have a massive update on the game tomorrow. Don't miss it.

Its coming out next year.For PS2.Its gonna be called GTA:Last Man Standing.Or right now thats what it is.The LAs Vegas thing was canned.And the reason its only on PS2 is beacuse E3 2003 R* made a deal with Sony,then put the VC and 3 on the MicroBox(XB),but all the rest are gonna be on Sony Systems(PSX,PS2,PS3 and PSP)

Right Now GTA4 is all rumors.It may be LMS it may be San Andreas(but like I said,which by the way is a fact,the LAs Vegas thing is canned)But it will be on PS2.It may be the last one on PS2,but it will not be a PS3 title,TRUST ME
