This is a good small button for web design or anything else!

1. Create a new document, 500x500 is what i used

2. Fill the background with black or any other dark color.

3. Create a rectangle facing up and down in the center of the image.

4. Fill the marquee with white.

5. Now go to FILTER=>BLUR=>GAUSSIAN BLUR and set it to about 12-14%

6.Now, go to IMAGE=>ADJUST=>CURVES and use this setting Input: 53 Output: 93 or whatever you think looks best.

7.Now hit CTRL+U to bring the hue box up, now change it to whatever you like!

you can create different shapes using this tutorial. and to get better results mess around with the Cyrves in step 6.
