Monkey island 4!!!

Hi I'm Bob from holland and i've the following question! In monkey island 4, you have throw an accordion against herman's head. But when I do this nothing happens. Can somebody help me out please!!!

never played the game so for me to help you i need more info such as what level are you on?

I think that if you haven't played this game before then you can't help me out. I've allready read several walktroughs, but without any results.

Hmm well alright then. The first thing you have to do when you wake up on the beach of monkey island is, walk to herman and talk to him. During this conversation you will notice that Herman has amnesia. So after you end this conversation you pick up the coconut and trow it agianst his head. Herman will remember something about a milkbottle. You'll get this milkbottle and return to Herman. Then trow the milkbottle against Herman's head and he'll remember something about an accordion. After you find the accordion, you'll go back again to Herman and trow it also against his head. Now Herman will have his full memory back, well not with my monkey island. So if you can help me out, I would really be thankfull for it.

PS. I'm Sooooo sorry that my english is not so good, but how would you like it if you had to write something in Dutch ;-)

I havent played the game in over a year, but you do have to throw something at him, i cant remember what, so just use everything you got, I think it is something you wouldnt expect, but im not sure.

Obective 1: Get off Monkey Island™

First of all walk to Campsite and pick up the coconut. Go to the Canyon and pick up the banana picker next to the
cactus. Go back to the beach and use the banana picker on the banana's in the tree 3x. Offer banana to Timmy and go
to the Canyon. Walk into the Mineshaft. Make sure Timmy keeps following you. Walk all the way back and use vent.
Use banana with vent. Now Timmy jumps inside and you have to use the vent again to close it. Use banana with portal
and the door opens. Enter tube and use banana picker with weed whipper (anyone said WEED?). Exit and proceed to Vista
Point. Pick up a rock and throw it into the right side of the cliff. Now read carefully (I will only type this once):
When the rock appears in the 2nd shaft make sure you already have another rock and throw it into the middle one as soon
as the roots move. Pick up another rock and throw it into the left side of the cliff as soon as the left root moves.
Throw another one in the left side when the middle root moves. Now one rock should fall into the lava and create a pool.
Then go to the lava field and a monkey will throw a milk bottle away. Go back and enter the volcano castle
(Cathedral of LeChuck). Use the banana picker with shields right over your head when you enter. Go on and talk to the
ghost priest about everything and convince him so you can ride a boat. Make sure you ride towards the milk bottle and
use the banana picker on it. End up in the pool of lava and use the weed whipper with patch of weeds. Go to the monkey
village and talk to Jojo jr. about everything. Now you know about Monkey Kombat. Use shields next to the monkey with
the accordion and pick it up. Now you have to fight several monkeys with Monkey Kombat. We can't help you with the moves
(random). Another thing that's random is the stance that defeats another one.
For example: Drunken Monkey defeats Anxious Ape in the one game, it might LOSE in the other game. (Bummer L)
Once you've defeated Jojo jr. go back to the lava field and use the palm tree. Walk over it and go to Herman Toothrot.
Throw the coconut to Herman's head. After that Throw the milk bottle and finally throw the accordion. After the
cut-scene talk to him about everything. Go to the Monkey Head (2nd biggest Guybrush has ever seen). Use the bronze
hat with the monkey head and use the banana picker with monkey nose. Go inside and use Mêlée Island™ Gubernatorial
Symbol with prominent slot.

Are you sure it is done exactly like this:

Hit Herman with the bottle. Talk.

Go to the village. Talk to Jojo Jr. about monkey kombat. Look at the
musical monkey. Look at the shields you have. Give the cymbals to the
monkey. Take accordion.

Go all the way back to Herman and hit him with the accordion. Talk to
him. You should get another gubernatorial symbol.

ok having a think try it like this:

Now go to the other side of the island and go to the Monkey Village, give the
shields/Cymbals to the monkey playing the accordion, take the accordion and
return to the other side of the island, go to the camp. At the camp pick up
the coconut near the hammock, then go and talk to our favourite hermit,
Herman Toothrot. To get his memory back, throw these things at him IN THE
FOLLOWING ORDER ONLY; throw the coconut, then the bottle, and then finally
the accordion. He will re-gain his memory, and will talk about the ultimate
insult; he will also give you the Governor's Symbol. Then you'll get a movie,
and find out a huge secret about Herman Toothrot, a plot twist I never saw
coming in a million years!!!

In other words gather the 3 items first.....then throw them at him one after another instead of throwing and item going to get the next item, throwing that one and so on...

Well I tried that, but it didn't work! Hmm very strange. Maybe it's because I downloaded this game, I don't know.

I'll play this part again at the beginning and see if i can get any further. If not, then I'll find another game to amuse myself with;-)

well it is the only way your suppose to do it, could hav a dodgy version then, try it again....it may work, things seem to sort them selves out without any logic behind it lol

Did u defeat Jojo?

Most likely is you left out something, didnt collect an item or something
