You can play both GBA and DS games on it. Also, you can chat with people within a certain range.

Dont forget the voice activation and touch pad screen (kinda like a palm polit) so it is basically like a mini-computer. But read the dead pixels post first, so you are aware of this.

Play movies on the DS and GBA
Can it? I was under the imprsion that the DS could NOT play GBA Games for some reason.
Just found this: While PSP is wooing and wowing worldwide, Nintendo are keen to prove that their handhelds can do anything that Sony's portable PlayStation can. So they have just announced the Play-Yan, a brand new plug-in device that will allow the shiny new DS and the ageing GBA to both play MP3 music and MPEG4 movies - just like PSP. While the name hasn't yet been fixed, the finished version of the Play-Yan will be the same size as a standard GBA game and so will pop straight into the cartridge slot at the back of an Advance or the front of a DS. Meanwhile, the sounds and pictures will be downloaded on to memory card-style SD units that will fit into the front of the player itself. With a built-in headphone socket included on-board, the Play-Yan will go on sale in February in Japan for around Ł25. However, a Nintendo spokesperson also confirmed that, at the moment, the company has no plans to release the device in Britain or the US. ^^ Well thats just plain stupid not to sell it in the US or UK. The games are saved on the actual game, fistface. And how do you work the voice activation? And Nitrous Oxide's post. Not selling the Play-Yan in the US and UK. That's crazy! I wish I could get one. *sob* Give the US and UK the Play-Yan! And everybody else that doesn't have it yet!
