Colin McRae rally 2005 or WRC 2004

AS the subject says which one is better?

As you know there are a few rally games out there on the PS2... lucky for me I have played most of them at the shop before I handed over my money.

Colin McRae rally 2005: Not a bad game but the good rep that the first CM game got on the dated PS1 has all but gone on the PS2.... codmasters have basicaly messed up a good game of the old days and ther isn't much left for codmasters now unless they get the offical licening from sony but thats never gunna happen.

Plus points:
The hadling of the cars were kinda good
Crash damage was good.
Co driver call outs for the corners where good
meh thats about it for good points...

Negative points
Have to do 3 or more stages before it would auto save I think
Opostion have fake names and could be beaten by like 20 sec's but then you could lose by 30 sec on the next stage... really stupid that.
CM4 was an all round better game than 5

WRC4: Better than WRC3... the cars seem to stay on the road a little better than in WRC3 and with real dirvers and locations from WRC2004 on T.V and real world driver names what more could you want?

Plus points:
The cars handle good
Damage effects are good... window smashes... bumbers come lose ect
No need to have 2 do a few stages before you can save
the service for fixing the car is good showing what parts are damaged and how much.
The graphics of the cars are very good and the replays are a work of art with the angles.
Produced by Sony which is a good thing (fully licenced info stuff)
The menus are easy to follow and navigate
Real world locations
The game is a lot more rewarding than CM5 ever will be
plenty of real life vidoes to watch.

Negative points
Somtimes the driver call outs can be a little slow but it's no big deal.
The way the cars slide takes a bit of gettin used to but once masterd it's ok

All other rally games on the PS2 arn't worth bothering with... so which is the better rally game you ask.... well there isn't much in it but WRC4 is the better of the 2 games.... CM5 just becomes ever so boring...

Which one did I buy at the end of the day u ask?
Answer WRC4.... Stands out as the better rally game for sure and maybe I should write a review for this game on Genie.net someday. Anyway hope all that helps ya a little, I know I had some problems choosing the right game but I made the right choice in the end. *stops typing lol*
