Hellppppp - Another Computer Problem (MS-DOS and 16Bit)

Alright, heres t3h Breakdown:

Okkay, now i was trying to remove some adware with this tool from Microsof.com (SFwebsch or something remover i believe) and it messed with Registries, and i forget t back it up.

Now my MS-DOS Settings are screwed and i can't run anything that has MS-DOS Version or 16 Bit.

the error i recieve when trying to open a 16bt Program is;
Quote:
[FILENAMEHERE] The System File is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications. Choose Close to Terminate the Application.
ORR

Another MS-DOS Error with a 16-bt Error attached - I`ll Put it up in the morning.

than it gives me the option to close or Ignore. I tried both, the same with both, it Closes.

---

so now i can't install my Camera, 3D Studio Max, or anything else with a MS-DOS and 16bt Rate.

PLEASE Help! I dont want to Format my computer and Re-Install Windows and Everything T_T

Thumbs down Hmmm

16 bit Windows subsystems usually relate to the older versions of Windows. Windows 95 and Windows NT (I believe). Check with a technician, but I had a similar problem once. I had to use a system with Windows 98 simply to open a file that wouldn't open on my computer with Windows XP Professional.

Thanks,
HRBEK.

Instead of doing a full reformat of your drive you may first want to try just installing windows over the current installation so it will replace the files that you might have happned to delete.
