pokemon emrald

pokemon emrald in my opionon is the best of all the pokemon games. there arent any new graphics in this game but alot of new extra's like the battle frontier, pokemon, and more.

the battle frontier is on the island u knew as the battle tower in ruby/saphire. to obtain to right to be welcome to the prestiguese island u must defeat the entire pokemon league of hoinen on evergrande city. at this magnificent place u can buy all the abilty boosters(carbos,hp up, etc..., well other then the pp up and pp max) and you can enjoy yourself by battling all 7 of the battle frontiers facilties. the most popular of them all is the gigantic battle tower. here u can be tutor a trainer (i think this helps with the battle salon but im not sure) by showing them items and telling them what pokemon to use and moves and such(dont worry u dont give them a item). there are 4 differnt battle styles at the battle tower. there is single battle were u fight single battles until u win 7 to finish the competion,double battle with same rules, and team battle, were u get to go to the battle salon and choose a partner to have double battles with until u lose or win the round. then there is multiplayer mode were you can battle friends. then there is the battle dome where there are 2 modes. single player mode were u fight with 2 pokemon against an oponnet with 2 pokemon. u can look at all 3 of there pokemon to stratigise your plan for victory.the other mode is double player were just same way as single but double battles. u pick 3 pokemon for the whole tournie and u can only use 2 each battle and get recorved after each battle. as u keep wining the tournies will get harder and harder so u should try to have 3 differnt dual type pokemon, one electric for the leader of the dome. the battle pyramid is only one mode and u must venture up a dim litted pyramid without being able to use flash and collect items in ur rental bag(they take ur bag and give u rental bag until u finish the pyramid or lose). u can get items in the pyramid but they go in your rental bag and u lose them after u are out of the pyramid. there are 7 rooms to this pyramid i belive and after the 7th room u go to the top to win. the battle factory is just pretty much same as battle tower without the tutoring, team and multi battles, and u dont use your pokemon. u use either lvl 100 rental pokemon or lvl 50 (btw in the battle frontier everyone is the same lvl as the strongest pokemon in your party when your in the faclity). im not exactly sure here but i think u need to win 3 battles to complete the chalenge. if u win u can swap pokemon with the guy u beat(trade one of ur rental's for one of his) the battle palace, i dont have much info on it, just that your pokemon decide what moves they use and not you. the battle arena i dont have much info on either. i just know that u must defeat your opponet in one shot, if u dont they will judge the battle by preformence. the battle pike/tube is pretty much just a run around in a house with many doors. in other words u have to test your luck here. if u go through the wrong door u might get your pokemon a status problem or a fight. i think the goal is to go through 14 doors in the battle pike to win(harder then sounds).
then there is the abilty to call people. remember in gold,silver,crystal when u could call people, well they brought it back in this game as another pokenav option.
in this game u have to fight team magma and team aqua which i find makes a much better improvement to the great storyline of ruby/saphire. thats ill say so i dont spoil the spetacular result of the battle.
in this game there is only one contest hall and thats in lilycove city, but u can do all the contest rounds in there.(normal,super,hyper,master). in fallabor town is a battle tent, which is like practice for the battle frontier. this battle tent goes by the rules of the battle arena or the battle palace i cant remember. venderuf is the other one. the one in slatport is the battle factory.
in the safari zone after u beat the pokemon league 2 new areas unlock were u can catch all kinds of johto pokemon including houndour. when u beat the trick house u can choose between which tent you want to get. you can also get both of the ancient pokemon fossils from the desert (when u visit the desert the first time pick up one and after u beat the pokemon league u get to get the other)
to get groudon and kyogre are also differnt. in this game u can catch both, at lvl 70. in differnt areas. when u beat the pokemon league u will re apiar at your home. then u will watch tv. then ur mom ask a question and respond red for latias or blue for latios.
loads of more pokemon are in this game then in ruby and saphire and the storyline is much better. the graphics are same. overall i would give this game a 10 out of 10. if u have ruby/saphire and beaten them already this might not be the game for you but i already did and i got it anyway and i liked it (thats just me) so i recommed u get this game while u can. :)

I agree with this review, I just recently started playing Pokemon Emerald and its been a lot of fun so far. The last Pokemon I played was the original game (Red Version) so theres tons of new stuff to learn and do. :P

lol i wrote that at 11 o clock pm central last night. i went to sleep then i havent had a chance to get on here for awhile. nice to know i got alot of people that agree with me, but if u did played red last that is a gigantic leap like [N]eto said lol the first pokemon game i played was red and it took me a couple months to beat the pokemon league, then when i got fire red i beat the pokemon league in one week lol. the best next to emrald is the johto seris of pokemon games.
