Perfect Dark Zero: Preview

You guys asked for more, and I got a preview this time. :-)

Perfect Dark Zero: Preview

Perfect Dark Zero has been in development for a long long time. About five years, give or take. Even though that may seem long, that time was well spent, given all the new features and modes of play you’ll get to experience. Even though not much has been shown in the sense of visuals, we have learned a great deal more of this ambitious title than we could have ever hoped for.

Weapons, Gadgets, and Vehicles

There are a few weapons in Perfect Dark Zero, and they remain faithful to the Perfect Dark of the N64 in terms of weapon variety. There are approximately 28 different weapons in the game. Though not much is know of most of these weapons, it’s safe to assume that most are from the original Perfect Dark as said before, with new weapons as well. The new thing here is that each weapon has a secondary function, allowing you to play the game in many different ways, such as being able to see through walls to keep track of opponents on the map.

Multiplayer Modes

One type of multiplayer mode in Perfect Dark Zero is a mode called “Kill TV” where you can watch any live multiplayer match you desire. This is more of a spectator sport, in the sense that you can view people’s techniques and then learn from their mistakes and successes. It really is an engaging idea, and one that’ll likely excite gamers to share their tricks and tactics with each other. Deathmatch is another mode that will be returning to PDZ and with it will bring some new sub-modes to the game. There will be the usual Deathmatch mode (In PDZ, it’s called “Killcount”), Team Killcount, Capture the Flag and some other modes that Rare have yet to disclose at the moment.

Single Player Mode

Perfect Dark has always been about the modes, in both singleplayer and multiplayer, and Perfect Dark Zero is no different (in fact, it’s even more so). In singleplayer, people can expect three entirely different difficulty levels, including Agent, Secret Agent, and Perfect Agent, and though these aren’t really modes, they act as modes through the different ways in which you play each one. The main differences between each difficulty level are the challenges that you will have to face in a particular area. So for instance, instead of having to shoot one guy and then dodge to the right and shoot another guy to get past a room. There is a possibility for a co-op mode in PDZ, though nothing is confirmed as of yet. Rare has had thoughts of providing even more multiplayer functions

Overall

Wow. That’s all I can say after all that information. Though this game’s look may not strike any chords with people strict on graphic detail. From weapons, to vehicles, to multiplayer and singleplayer modes, the amount of change and yet the haunting adherence to its predecessor, makes this game truly stand out for five tears of develoment. Expect this game to invade all Xbox 360 owners this fall and knock all the non-believers right on their asses.

[Note]: If you have any questions ask me, but please read the Preview. :-)

Thanks,
Giiga~
