Rules in this Philosophy Precinct

I'm sorry guys, but I really haven't been happy about how things are going in here. So please read the rules and THEN start posting.

In this part of the forum I want to see REACTIONS that show that they've been THOUGHT of. THINK before you post, CONSIDER the worth of your words and KEEP RESPECT at all times. Philosophy touches a lot of edgy subjects. If you're not able to respect or tolerate one another's opinion on by example religion: please leave now. I understand people can get pissed off by some reactions of other forum members but KEEP RESPECT and present your words, complaints an arguments in a decent way of writing:

[I]a small definition of Philosophy[/I]

This is a philosophy corner. Philosophy tries to answer the questions that actually do not have true answers. There is never ONE SPECIFIC truth.
It's about the meaning of life, the World, Religion, People and what so ever. A lot of things have a philosophical touch to it.
However, there's a difference between just wondering and philosophising.

IF you make a thread in this section make sure you have a PHILOSOPHICAL question and that you've attached your opinion to it. I do NOT want to see threads that disrespect or could hurt people in any way:

threadname: GOD DOES NOT EXIST YOU LOSERS = bad
threadname: What is your opinion on God? = good

threadname: I wonder if IPOD's can get any smaller = bad: this is not philosophy I'm aiming for

YES we are interested in your opinion [B]BUT MAKE SURE YOU SUPPORT THEM BY REASONABLE ARGUMENTS:[/B]
'God does not exist because I say so and I've never seen him, so all of you who believe s*ck' = bad
'I think god does not exist because of certain happenings in my life.In the time I most needed him I kept praying but I had to do it all myself. = better

If you do not formulate your arguments in a decent way: [U]get out of here.[/U]
a joke is allowed ofcourse, but [U]don't go too far [/U] and make sure you're not getting the thread down-hill to a spamparadise.

If *I* respond to your reaction REMEMBER I'm doing this for the thread's, and maybe your own good. I am not a mod for nothing and I'll damn well let it show. I'm not the bad girl terrorizing all spammers, but I can be if I have to, so do not insult me at the cost of the thread. If you want to scream shout scold at me, send me a PM. ( I will throw it away without even reading it but I' ll remember the sender)

Discussions about philosophical subjects flame. It' s not a ' yes I agree yes I agree.. I don' t know but..yes I agree' case. If you respond, you will get attacked on what you say. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR POSTS.



for everyone capable of keeping these rules in mind, I'm feeling so childish having to SET rules but..: Enjoy the philosophising!
