alright.. so eventually we're all going to die. think about this. think about being dead.

what do you see?

however, you cant see nothing, nor hear anything and take note of this because you're dead. this is obvious (to us.. as we arent dead).

again.. think, just for a few minutes, of what it will be like to be dead. pretty simple, right? [i]yeah, alright. nothingness.[/i]

but geh.. fuuuck..

its easier to type about what you think its like to be dead then it is to think about (contradiction, but its true)

its a paradox in my mind.. i just cant seem to picture anything as that.. dead.

why do we die?

every person ive asked about why we have to die has given me this response. to this response i give them the line after. none of them has been able to answer this. can something that didnt exist come to an end? or has to got to reach a beginning?

antimatter.. think of it as two magnets.. theres a postive and a negative on each.. symmetrical. but with antimatter, if it and matter come together they all get destoryed, but turn into something else of equal energy.

these 'something else's' had to get destoryed before existing. the opposite of how nature intends.. it follows the law of antiparticle.

but couldnt this be applied to something like life?

what if its all barkwards? theres no black or white answer for this at all.. only grey. this is unanswerable so dont rubbish this thread with [I]'its nothing like this or that 'cause i know absolutly everything about anything!'[/I]

what if death isnt anything like what we think? what if its something like.. a portal... either to our past.. a never ending loop, or to the same destination where you died but in a different plane.

i dont know.. just.. the whole thing of death.. the entire deal of 'thats it'.. just seems... impossible

Considering the way my mind works, and I mention that because I'm usually within a deep trance of thought, I sometimes encounter myself in a conflict with the subject of death. I, too, think of it as something that seems simply impossible. I sometimes crack myself open, figuratively speaking, thinking about it all. I have even broke into tears before. Take a second, though, to think about birth. Process in your head about the time before you existed, before you gained consciousness of your existence. That doesn't scare you and never will, so why does the end seem so horrifying?

When I think of my consciousness during death, I think of nothing. A lack of all senses, in a way. But if this were true, then I wouldn't even be capable of comprehending that I am dead. I wouldn't know it. With that in mind, what really is death? The mark of a new beginning, perhaps?

Something that interests me (just as with whether or not a foetus is a person) is when do you *gain* consciousness?

This is something that I have been thinking about recently as well. I just dont get the eternally unconscious thing or the wake up and your in paradise. This has led me to believe in Reincarnation. What if it is true that once we die we are bron again as someone else with no memories at all ofour previous lives. The crappy part about it is that we will never find out. Unless science finds a way to die and somehow be brought back in a matter of days or weeks. Kinda confusing thinking about it

i have a random book of odd things.. it has a story in it of this kid that could remember stuff randomly

i also have a random thing in my head of someone dying, but its in first person.. so im not sure whats with it.. but yeah.. eh.
