Reason for not getting/wanting a PS3

Bascially I just think the PS3 is just a big giant gimic, I'm not wanting to make enemies but think about it. Sony havn't brought out anything new other than first person shooter games, the whole Tekken idea was really good when it started out so why can't they make up a new idea like that (And yes I know they're making Tekken 6). I don't know if it's just me but I think the PS3 is just a big gimic to get people going [Word is yet to be invented]. Someone reply with why I should at least like this thing.

the ps3 sux lol they copied the wiis controller somewhat and they copyed the 360 button that turns it on from the controller

yeah i agree, the PS3 has the same games and everything as PS2 and 1 except the sequals. i havent seen the controller yet so i dont no if they copied anyone but i would think so. and PSM said that the PlayStation company is gonna go up to PS7 they should atleast make a better name

i'm going to get it to save money in the sence of not having to buy an entire batch of games for a new console; i can just play the games i have along with games that'll came out for ps3.

however, it's possible for me to wait for it to come down in price. (even though i wont be using my money. pfft. i'm savin' my money =P)

managed to wait til the ps2 was $300 to get it. and we just got it from down the road. i imagine i shall be doing the same thing with the ps3

my brother, however, has the x-box and all, so i think he would be the one to get the x-box 360, and he has money coming from nowhere.. so he would probably get it soon enough (i'm not in a hurry though. i'm fine with what i've got)

apparently the backwards compatability sucks on the ps3 and gives the ps2 games graphics that are simiilar to the ps1 go on youtube i saw a vid comparing the game played ont the ps2 and the ps3

PS3 sucks, end of story. It's over-expensive, it can ONLY play PS3 games, and they did kinda copy the controller a bit, like jdeadevil said.

Actually, they look the same. And Revan, the PS3 is backwards compatible and can play PS3, PS2, and PS1 games. The PS3 already HAD plans to make a wireless controller. They already had wireless controllers. Besides, in a couple of years, I'm going to laugh when all of you go whining to your mommies, telling them that you want a PS3.

Although, I would probably buy a Wii before I bought the PS3, since I do want to wait for the price to go down. They both have good graphics, but I think the PS3 has better ones. I played a couple of demos on the PS3, and the graphics were awesome. ^_^ The Wii has okay graphics, but they are recalling them because of the wrist strap... So if I were you peoples, I would buy a PS3 or Xbox 360. They're not getting recalled, like all of you Nintendo lover's Wiis. (Hehe, Nintendo gave their system a funny name.)

ok I ahve two reasons. One- Once Nintendo released the new controller, sony borught back their controller and added the motion sensing thing to it except they call ti axels and they suck. 2-They also decided to name the controller the PooS after they heard the revolution would be called the Wii.

um no they aren't. You can just go to your gamestop and get a free one. plus the only reason they are doing this is cause of the retards swing the remote much more then they need to

And I'd really love to know where you're getting this Wii information at... I would really love to. And you can't get wrist straps for free up at GameStop because I was just up there last night!...

I think I saw somewhere that the PS3 controller looks like a wireless PS2 controller. It's either that or my mind is playing tricks on me (Or the website). Also it depends where the Gamestop is...?
