Games, CD's etc.
I was really thinking about getting an X360 over the last while, but was thinking 'Is it really worth it..'. I mean, what can it do apart from games, CD's etc.? I am yet to play one but have seen one in play and have a few questions I'd like to clear up. First off, what happens if the wireless controller's battery dies halfway through a game? And do you buy batteries or does it have rechargable ones? Can you copy CD's onto it like on the original Xbox? Also, what is the online play like? I'd like to give it a shot, but never got around to doing it with my normal Xbox.(I have wireless broadband, if that helps) And about the games: I love games that I can pick up and play for a while, because I never really sit down for hours and hours at a time for games tbh, unless it's an unbelivably addictive game. I completed GOW and Resi 4 in two weeks each because I'd play them for ages. I'd like some games that I could play for a good while after completing the initial storyline, so I was thinking of getting a good racer or an RPG. So some suggestions would also be nice? And lastly, can you play music off an MP3 through the USB port?
Yeah, I know it's a ****load of questions, but I want to make sure I'll actually use the thing and not just waste €400 on somthing that will gather dust and die on the desk in my room. |

1. It can play games (as you know) download video's/trailers of the XBL market place and most of it is free. Download free XBL Arcade demo's and download demo's of XBOX360 games which range from about 500mb to 1 gig each. 2. A message box appears and pauses the game until you put in new batteries. 3. Rechargable packs are the way to go Works out cheaper in the long run4. Yes you can rip music CD's to the Hard drive 5. Online play is great! Even better when you get to know people, its only annoying when playing American kids that don't shut up! 6. Yes you can but I never bother. hmm and if you do get one, get the premium kit as it comes with the Harddrive, headset and HD component cable but if you don't have a HD TV then you just use the standard AV stuff. Anymore questions, ask me on MSN (MSN addy can be found in my profile ) |

Trust me Ant, the online play is TOTALLY worth the money. Xbox Live is AMAZING. It's incredible on the original Xbox, I can't imagine what it's like on the 360.

Silver is free.
You can buy cards in game stores with codes on them for XBL.

Silver sucks mate, you can't play games, it's just downloading patches for your games and ****.
Yeah, just get a pre-paid game card in a game store. I think it still asks for credit card details, but that's for "security purposes", they don't charge a thing to it, so you could ask your parents nicely like I did, haha! ![]() |
