Installing Linux on an OLD computer?
Okay, I have an OLD win95 toshiba Tecra 720CDT laptop. I want to know if it's possible to install Linux on it. I have both Sabayon and Ubuntu, but those are probably too big for the 1 gig hard drives, and they won't boot from a disk when I put them in... What's going on? Is this possible? Should I try to getr a smaller version of Linux or something?

there are so many versions of linux and I'm not even sure about those 2 versions. If you wanted something that boots straight from the CD knoppix does that. You might want to look at this chart http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari..._distributions
