I heard a roomour that a smaller version of the PS3 is this true?

by smaller they probably meant worse, the new Ps3 deal which is 450USD will come with a game and 1 controller, but it will NOT play ps2 games.

I think its true cause first there was playstation then PS1 then PSX (only realeased in Japan) Then after a few years PS2 then PS2 slim then after a while PSP and now PSP2 is soon to come. And I didn`t hear that it would be worse, I heard it would be way better.

my friend has a friend who is japanese and his uncle works at sony as a janitor so thats how I found out about it.

@Forte: Any PS3 will play PS2 games but the newer models now handle it by firmware updates to provide backward compatiblity a lot like Microsoft do with the Xbox360.
