Xbox 360 Halo 3

Ive heard some people say that they played Halo 3 beta.....i think thats just an incomplete demo sketch of the game....im getting an xbox360 for my bday on sunday and will prob buy that game in september.....but is it good????

it was like halo 2 with very slight graphical improvements

Yes Halo3 Beta verrsion is very nice.

Its graphics are amazing, and the new and old weapons look awsome!

My friend is crazy about it, I really don't see the big deal about it, played Halo 1 and 2, what a hype, really not my thing.

All my friends are going on and on about it, constantly asking me if I'm gonna get it

ffs, the game is really no big deal; it does NOTHING new. Everything in it has been done before in an FPS.

The storyline isn't even that good. Half-Life and Deus Ex's storylines kick the **** outta Halo's

The whole Halo series is just COMPLETELY overhyped. Goddamned annoying...

Finally, someone with common sense, I completely agree on that.

I mean, I heard in england's madame tussaud's they are gonna get Master Chief as the very first game character statue in there, I mean FFS!!! Halo isn't a revolution, it does everything other FPS games do.

As much as I don't give a crap about Mario, if there should be one gaming character made into a statue, it should be Mario, no matter what, and not Master Chief, what is this? The game isn't revolutionary, Master Chief doesn't have like a deep storyline about him like Cloud from Final Fantasy or other characters.

Microsoft is behind this, they just spend ****ing amounts of cash to promote Halo to hell, and people are being sucked in automatically

Master chief is not like cloud because he is suppose to be mysterious..

and theres no FPS like the other..

and theres alot of differences between 2 and 3

From what i've seen the GFX haven't been massively improved (due to the engine in number 2 being so good) But from first observations the lighting and and animation seems alot better. To be honest i'd be happy with minor tweaks....if it aint broke then dont fix it!

Also, if you dont like the series then you dont....Its all personal opinion, each to there own and such.

That is not the point, the point is that he doesn't deserve that spot because Cloud is a way better developed character then Master Chief is, and a lot of other characters are, especially when RPG characters, so he loses in that point as well.

And just for the record of me being a prick and quite an FF fan, Cloud is a mysterious character, just go through the story and you'll find out.

That is not what I mean, Halo uses engines that have been done before, that have been created for different games already, so again, Halo loses in that point as well, Halo is not a revolution.

Right...i'm just going to butt in, Personally I'm in the opinion that cloud is a very under developed characters, All of master chiefs life and blank spots have been filled in by the books...so in my mind i feel like i know where the master chief is coming from and why he's the way he is. And i agree with you, halo is far from being a gaming revolution...and it has its fault, but its the real first person shooter that has had such world wide success and also is on its way to topping the most pre-orders of all time list, so you've gotta give it that. As you can probably tell i'm not a huge FF fan but i have an open mind, I've played all FF games, on snes to the PS2 games and none has kept me entertained, but again thats personal preference. I'm a typical westerner, i'd rather have a gun in my hand and a grenade on my belt than a magical book and a rather large sword. Gaming is different for everyone, a game you say is crap could be another mans gold. Every game has its faults, but most people will ignore thos because they love the franchise.

Again...its all personal preference.

Course it does, Someone has a good idea and they have the money to throw at it till all is well, Dont get me wrong i think the square soft guys are gods...but thats me talking from a artistic perspective, not from a fan of there games view.
Fair play to them tho, they've cornered the market and all RPG's in that turn based format has gotta live upto there high standards.
