Will the PS3 fail?

Simple question, I think unless the game situation improves it will be close to a failure. The unexpected price drop is desperation tactics. Anyone who wants a FUN console goes for Wii and whoever wants a GAMING console goes for XBox 360, lets face it the games are much much better. There's no point in better hardware if you dont have the games. It's a reversal of the 'PS2 v XBox' battle.

I own an Xbox360 and PS3 mate and I voted YES only because of the current lack of games, the high price tag and the fact that its going to be playing catch up for the next few years in terms of sales...

I voted ''Yes'' because the PS3 has a HUGE lack of games, and thats why im not buying it, and like chilli said, the price drop is because there desperate, nobody is buying their console.

Yes. I agree with Papelbon. They do have a large lack of games, they released the system with a terrible price, a bunch of useless features and at the wrong time. The price drop is a sign of desperation and its going to take a few years for the PS3 to catch up.

If you compare both of the consoles, Xbox 360 has a way better online gaming community to the Ps3. They both can run the same amount of hard drive space I believe(Not really sure) but the Ps3 has Blue Ray over the 360 which makes for better movies and games. Both the consoles have wireless support, no problems there.

Xbox 360 currently has something like six times the amount of games to what the Ps3 has. Take Two are going to make some big $$ from both Sony and Microsoft when GTA IV is released seeing as it will be on both consoles. Also I'm not really sure about how the graphics between the two compare because I have not seen this, but the Xbox 360 is pretty damn good in my opinion but I'm guessing the Ps3 is just as good.

Another good point towards Xbox 360 is that I like the Xbox Live marketplace where you can go spend your heard earned gamerpoints on things like demo's, game trailers, downloadalble content etc. Not sure if the Ps3 has this.

i noticed the other day the price tag on the PS3 has dropped by a fair amount! People are just not gonna pay its price tag especially with the lack of good games for it, i think they had so much potential and Sony has just ****ed up big stylee

If Sony isn't completely moronic, they know they should make a Final Fantasy VII Remake on the PS3, and even if it's gonna turn out to be the greatest game of all times or if it's gonna suck horribly, it doesn't matter, people will buy a PS3 for a Final Fantasy VII Remake, can't be denied (Hell, I would)

Lets just hope it isnt a FFVII 2 like the sh!t that was made for the Ps2 with Vincente as the main character

Yeah that wasn't too great.

But no, if they just remade the FF VII game, kept the whole story and character development intact, just change the graphics, menu, battles, music, stuff like that to next-gen PS3, then it would be an amazing game

It'd be great, believe it or not I haven't played VII, and if it was on the PS3 it would sway me to buy it.

I think the general consensous is that people want the PS3 to be the best once again, but it's lack of games is preventing it, its killing itself

The Ps3 has some good hardware though, my mate was telling me that if you were able to put the parts of a Ps3 into a PC, you'd have your self a $2000 worth computer.
