Between PS2 and PS3, which would you choose?

-Is the third one any good?

Of course I'd choose PS3. PS3's are pretty much the same as a PS2 except better at everything it does, such as much better graphics, can play Bluray rather than DVD, has a larger hard drive, has wireless controllers, supports HD-TV, and has built in Wi-fi (for the premium version).

I just got one for my brother who likes playing games very much.

Yes, ofcourse a PS3 is an amped up PS2, so going for the PS3 is obvious if you don't care about the price.

But if you do, I truly recommend a PS2, it's cheap, games are cheap and really good (Final Fantasy series, Kingdom Hearts series, Prince of Persia, God of War, etc.) It's the console with the most and best games after all.
