Call of Duty 2 > Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty 2 owns Call of Duty 4.
We are talking about the multi-player modes, I don't give a **** about story mode. Now this is my very own personal opinion and I wish not to be attacked and criticized by people with nothing better to do because it would hurt my feelings so much. *wink* Now Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare has been anticipated by all warfare game lovers for awhile now, especially since it is the first time a Call of Duty game was based in the modern age. I myself was pretty excited, but like everything else in life there's always a downside. Let's start out with good old Wikipedia's summary of the game: "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision for Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It is the eighth installment in the Call of Duty video game series (including expansions), the first not to be set during World War II, and the first to be rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB. It was announced on April 25, 2007. It was released on November 6, 2007 in North America..." Pretty good description, eh? Well let's start with the ups of this Modern Warfare: 1. Stunning, realistic, and detailed graphics as well as an interactive environment (ex: You can blow up cars in the street by shooting them.) 2. You're able to rank up you're military level by getting achievements in Live gameplay. 3. Awesome upgrades for guns (scopes, red dots, silencers, etc.). That's my short list of pros. Here's the cons for you and in red I explain why: 1. The UAV's (big helicopters that fly in, shoot everyone, and blow stuff up) are so dumb. I just see no point in it. I would rather just shoot people myself. 2. You are never safe. You can shoot through walls and objects. Sure it's more realistic, but it's less fun. If you really want to get someone out of a hiding space just through a grenade and they'll move, then you can shoot them. 3. No team strategy. I've played plenty of CoD 4 now and I hardly ever hear anyone talk. Maybe a twelve year old noob screaming "Pistol Kill, Pistol Kill!!!" or "Teabag, Teabag!!!", but that's about it. In CoD 2 every time I play my team is making a strategy, reporting the locations of enemies, and other stuff like that. That's all I have to say for now. Goodbye. - Jake Phlieger P.S. I've never played Call of Duty 3. - This is my article from my blog 'I Deliver Toilet Seats' Last edited by Infected; 11-17-2007 at 09:28 PM.. |

First of all, Welcome.
I have found a few faults with your problems, lets see shall we... 1: According to you, the UAV's are a problem. Well, the real Marines use them. The Marines/S.A.S can also call for Helicopter support as far as i know. So Infinity Ward put them into the game. 2: Most modern guns can shoot through certain materials, things have moved on from 1945. Even though a few guns could shot through walls then, just not as many as today. 3: If you play Team Domination, there is plentey of strategy, i haven't tried Sabotage or the other tatcical modes yet. In nearly everygame i enter, there are people on the mics. And i have yet to come across people who "Teabag" as people could have the Martyrdome perk. 4: The map does exactly the same as CoD2, reveals their position if they fire a gun. Unless someone somehow configured to show everyone all the time (Like you can do in split screen) Hope i could clear a few little things up.

I'm going to go and argue with the first two and say it's a damn game and it's needs to be more challenging than just getting a seven streak kill and being able to call a helicopter in.
But for your 3rd point I wasn't playing Team Domination I was playing good old Team Deathmatch. For your fourth point I actually will agree with you, for some reason it seemed like someone is always on the map too me, but I just checked it out and you're right. *I deleted number four, thank you I wasn't paying attention for that. **And I think I'll try out Team Domination. imma have to disagree with infected, too.
1. The UAV scans for enemies..its a limited radar. and for most of us its not exactly easy to get a 7 streak right away. plus, helo's arent that hard to take down. Airstrikes are helpful too. and thats the problem with A LOT of shooters today, someone finds a way to exploit certain weapons and a week later everyones doing the same thing. so dont just say "it has no strategy" and with shooting through walls, like driver said, a lot of current day weapons can go through walls. techincally, it makes the game harder and involve more strategy.
