Daxter Help - Baron's Palace

I am having trouble in Baron's Palace. I am in the second gold room and I can't make it to the last set of high crates on the far wall. From the walkthrough that I read, I need to get in there in order for a cut-scene to run and to continue the game.

I have spent several hours trying to jump from the high crates in the middle of the room to the destination. I have done several perfectly timed double-jumps with the flame boost and always fall just short of reaching it.

I am going nuts trying to advance in the game .

Please help if you can.
