Final Fantasy:Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King review

Im getting into the mood of doing reviews again and im making mine an IGN meets X-Play type of thing

On May 12, Nintendo's new original game's store ,Wii Ware, opened with 6 titles. I picked up FFCC:MLaaK on day one and I'm hooked. Its not a traditional FF game because you take up a role of king who must rebuild a desolate town. On the way you gain more adventurers, different buildings, meet new people, etc. In the beginning its pretty slow with 2 adventurers but its gets hectic with many buildings to build, fund, etc. Plus once you get many adventurers, you'll be constantly contemplating which one's should switch to which class. The big downside for me is that the character models don't display any sense of emotion. You'll be left looking at the emoticons over their head to see how they're feeling. In the end, this is a great start to Wii Ware, its a fun game and with the DLC, you'll be waiting to get your hands on the next big feature.

Presentation: Looks good, easy to read menu setup, easy navigation. It sad that some things like the 3 races were put up as DLC, but at least DLC has hit the wii in some form

5/5 stars

Graphics:Fluent graphics with some nice design. I wish there were more character emotions.

3/5 stars

Sound:A nice pleasant background music. Good music during cut-scenes. Since it is only a wii ware game, it doesnt have a full music libraray.

4/5 Stars

Gameplay:Think of it as MySims meets SimCity without the model creation. Its pretty slow in the beginning but once you unlock more buildings and adventurers, its gets better.

5/5 stars

Lasting Appeal:Its a good game that will last you hours, and Im sure SE has something up its sleeve involving the DLC, so you'll be playing more in the future.

5/5 Stars

Overall Score:4 Shiny Crowns out of 5
