Im due to find out, mine will be on its way to the repair center soon. I have had a electronic label sent to me and habve to arrange UPS to pick it up. The kicker is that I have to find a box to send it in by myself, and I have been told I cannot use the one that the xbox came in, which I would have thought would be the best one to use as the padding should be good enough.

They should of sent you a box to send it back in Redgore. That's what they did when i sent mine in for the Red Rings thing. I'd say it took about a week for them to get it back to me. Maybe shorter.

Over here in the UK they don't send a box out. i used a walkers crisp box for mine and stuffed it full of stuff for padding.
I did mine online via the UPS site they collected it the same day (about 4 hours later) and it took them 8 days to get it back to me with a new motherboard and DVD drive inside my machine. Works better than ever now Red |

Aye, ****ing tightwads over here, we have to provide our own bloody box!
Sent mine in twice now I think...first time took ages, around 2-3 weeks. But the second time only took a few days, and my 360's been working great since then, seems like they finally did a good job with fixing it *touch wood* |

They didn't send me a box. I just grabbed an old one put the 360 in it then got another box. Put the other box in it and sent it off.

Im hoping it will be a quick turn around, I am finally getting somewhere on Lost Odyssey plus I need my daily fixes of cod4 online and Hexic HD.
I have found a box for it and found plenty of padding. Its gonna be nice not to be tied down to a wired controller anymore ![]()

I had to return my Xbox 360 twice in almost 3 years, I am really not satisfied with the Xbox 360 failing so easy.
First time it was right before christmas so I was very unfortunate, it took them like a month or maybe even more before I got it back. But the second time was a normal time and it took close to 2 weeks. |

I thankfully only had to send mine in once.

I've had mine I think a little over a year and have not had a problem out of it.

Do you think it depends on the error?

No, the repairing never takes longer then a single day, the things that are long are the waiting times. Like waiting for product at home base, when it's actually in queue etc.

UPS are coming to pick mine up on Monday, unfortunately I have had to take the day off work so that they can. IMO Microsoft should have paid more and gone with a service level that UPS will pick up until early evening with. It is going all the way to Germany for repair, you would think that they would have a more local service depot but it seems that they go based on release regions rather than locality.

Mine got sent 2 times, first they only replaced the motherboard I think, but the DVD drive was faulty as well, I kept getting read errors on brand new discs, so it took them only 1 week to repair it, and now it works again. The main disavantage of the X360 is that it's so noisy.
