Rock Band 2

I personally didn't get the first one but i've been doing some research and the 2nd one looks pretty good. i was going to go with guitar hero 4 but i'm just thinking rock band 2 looks better, mostly with their wide variety of songs and some more songs that are actually up-to-date and ones i personally like. it's coming at a pretty steep price, rumors are starting $250 for the 360 but only $230 for the PS3. what game is going to be better?

Well im a Harmonix fan, so Id have to say, Rock Band 2. Im drawn to Rock Band 2 because, well I have Rock Band and Harmonix is giving the drummers (myself) a nice big gift. Well it's not really a gift, it's rumoured to be 300$. Im talking about the Premium ION drum kit for Rock Band. The Premium kit is why im getting Rock Band 2.

Scratch that. It looks like we'll be able to get the game and everything for a price of $189.99 which incluse lead guitar, bass guitar, microphone, drum kit and the game. Its release date is currently set for October 19, 2008.

That seems like a nice price. Although for me, ill be spending ALOT more due to the premium kit. If you havent checked it out, you should, its amazing.

Release date I've heard was next month. End of September. I personally am a little shakey on most of the songs on their, but Battery makes up for it

amazon has both the release dates for RB2 and GH4 in mid to later october. i really dont know which one to get lol.

If i were you, id get RB2 But don't listen to me, for some reason, im in love with Harmonix.. .:o

haha i can't blame you for your opinion. it's a tough choice because they are both virtually the same. i heard that rock band is harder than guitar hero, is that true?

i was going to let the songs settle it but they both have some choice ones and i know guitar hero has some cool features like making your own character and creating your own songs... i'm not sure if rock band has something like that or not.

You can make your own character, and I THINK there's a no fail feature on RB2, but im not quite sure how it will work. Im pretty sure it will only be in quickplay. If it was in Solo Tour also, theyd pretty much be giving free achievements.. And I dont think "Create a song" is gonna be a big success.

i agree with you though the create a song looks if'y but i might have to go with GH4 because of the songs, but i'm really not too sure.

RB2 has some good songs, and Harmonix' DLC is varied extremely, so you'll eventually get some songs you LOVE. And something else that I like, since I have Rock Band, is that, you can carry over your DLC to RB2. Im happy about this because ive spent around 100$ CAN on songs..

I like the sound and lighthing and effects in general more on rock band, it's better set up than guitar hero. Guitar Hero's world tour thingie I don't think is gonna work very well, considering they've been focusing on guitars only, so it'd seem a bit out of place. Rock band, however, was AMAZING the first time round, and can only get better (:

I heard Rock Band 2 is supposed to be like 520$ in Austraila.
