[Magoseong]

A short side story for BLUM (Blood Lion's Uncanny Misadventures.). Originally, I was going to put up Tales of the Behemoth but a certain point in BLUM's plotline needs to occur first.. Not to mention, plot's still being developed. ;p

This short RP simontaneously follows alongside the storyline of BLUM's (both RPs are occuring roughly at the same time - the events in BLUM happen a bit earlier). The story centers around Osmond Archion (from the planet Aleidrant - sister world of Symphonia - which is where this story takes place in) and a small group of nomads and travellers, who are either former friends with Osmond or.. whatever. As long as they have a reason why they're travelling with Osmond and his friends. Unlike my other RPs, this one doesn't involve as much action but rather emphasizes on psychological pain, as many characters pay respect and loyaility towards those who have died in war or in other tradegies (i.e, the Holocaust which has killed off many renowned characters). It's notably more suspenseful. And, ironically, this side story is much darker then BLUM.

Also, this RP tells the origin of Cho's ghost, who was encountered in BLUM most recently..

NOTE: Osmond (and possibly a few of his friends/allies) does make an eventual appearence in BLUM as companions. So the characters you use for this RP will likely appear in BLUM.




-Plot-
In a brief ****ysis during a short scout, Osmond discovers an uncanny signal coming from an unknown entity, within the crash site where the large Sky Fortress Paradise had fallen. Concerning the possible threat and danger from this mysterious signal, Osmond *reluctantly* establishes a small group to investigate the area. Regardless of what their anticipations may have depicted, no one in the world could have guessed what exactly lied ahead for these travellers..

Bio-A happy-go-lucky engineer and a renowned Air Pirate. He is the captain of the Wild Fangs. As Osmond is not an inhabitant of Symphonia, he is still capable of using magic. Though on the other hand, most of his magic comes from his home planet's energy, thus limting much of his powers on Symphonia. He has two brothers. Argel, his adopted brother who was killed in a tragic incident. And Carth Archion, a God General who exhibited an unexplained hatred for Osmond. He is presumed to be dead after succumbing to his mortal wounds caused by Osmond.

Bio-A man with dog-ears who has an uncanny metabolism that seems to be withdrawing his growth, hence why he looks so young for his age. He was known to be a close friend of the Mystic Warriors, who had occasionally allied themselves with Kelos' former friends and companions. He is shocked to find all of them killed in battle, resulting him to enter a depressive disorder - especially after losing many of his old friends. In spite of this, Kelos is depicted as "a jumpy energetic moron, who always wants to do the right thing for everyone."

Note: Even though he is an inhabitant of Symphonia and also held affiliation with the Mystic Warriors, Kelos was not directly involved in the Holocaust. Actually it's because of this reason that many people (mostly those who were close to Kelos' friends or the other Mystic Warriors) harass him out of anger.

Bio-Ty Kazamatsuri, the younger brother of the great and deceased Inoui Kazamatsuri. He's on a journey with Shigeki. Now that he's all grown-up, he's alot like his brother. His tactictian skills are top-notch and his swordsmanship is through the roof. His tactictian skills might not live up to his brother, but his swordsmanship surpasses. Shigeki is like his brother and has been like that for a long time.

Bio-Idate is a comrade of the children of the Mystic Warriors. He rarely takes anything serious at all. He's with Kelos on this "mission". Idate, before he came to land, was a feared pirate back in Symphonia, known as "Captain Blue Rogue". He has a high bounty on his head and is good with alot of different weapons. He prefers twin cutlasses.

Okay, you're in. I'm assuming this is the most I'm gunna get, so might as well start. But just in case, I'm gunna go at a fairly slow pace in the beginning, so people who wish to join may do so.





On an uncanny cold day in the small settlement of Mystic Village.

An enigmatic series of broken hymns echoes through the icy winds shrouding Mystic Village..

At the entrance of Mystic Village, there's a fairly short man, wearing a bizzare attire that depicts him as somewhat funny looking. His face is hidden by a pair of red goggles, purple and yellow striped scarf and a jester-esque strange hat which is colored half blue and half yellow. More notably, he's wearing an odd propellor pack device on his back which is keeping him aboard in mid-air. Behind him is a young looking boy who has dog ears instead of human ears and is wearing dirty peasant clothes. These two are Osmond and Kelos, respectively. Alongside the two, there are several nomads equipped with bags filled with supplies.

Osmond is examining a portable device of his, displaying a monitor filled with large amounts of explicit data that only a person of his intellect could fully understand in a moment. Even though you can't see his face, it's clear Osmond looks annoyed.

"Well! Ain't this a pain?" Osmond cries out bluntly, breaking the awkward silence within the group. "Can't believe I got myself in this mess.. Why am I attending to this search anyway? Surely you guys could go without me. I could just give you the coordinates pinpointing this signal and I can be off on my merry way, back to my world so I can fix my own personal issues."

A nomad approaches Osmond. Short red hair, wearing thin glasses - this man's name is Thomas. He has no weapons on him, indicating that he isn't a fighter. "Well, you see.. With Junko's sudden dissapearance, we virtually have no power against monsters or bandits now that we lack our only mage left in this world.. And in this cold weather, magic is almost essential since our physical strength would surely diminish fast in this dangerous climate. Besides - it was your idea in the first place, wasn't it?"

Osmond sighs, disdainfully concuring with Thomas' statement. "... You got a point, pal. Oh well.. I am quite curious about what's causing that odd signal. Maybe surviving life? A new source of energy? Perhaps even an solution to your planet's energy crisis? Who knows. It's intriguing, at the very least." Osmond pushes his goggles in.

Another traveller - female, healthy green hair tied into a ponytail - walks foward and stands in front of the group. She has a bow attached on her back - an archer. This girl's name is Rebacca. "Jeez.." She rubs her arms to keep herself warm. She's shivering non-stop. "It's so cold.. What's with this weather? It's almost like the season just changed.."

Kelos is seen sneezing. "A-Ah choo! Sniff.." Snot drips down from his nose. He sniffs it back up, much to everyone's disgust. "Agh.. T-t-tell me about it.. It's even colder then back home.."

Osmond scans around the area cautiously. "Well.. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't cold. Still, it's not that bad.. It is somewhat frigid but nearly not as harsh as a blizzard or storm. It's pretty dry and the wind chill isn't all that strong." Osmond tugs his scarf and wraps it around his face a bit more tightly.

[Admiral44]

There's two people standing near by, one's wearing light blue swordsmanship armor, and has a sheathe on his back. He has long blonde hair and a red hankerchief as a headband. Some habits die hard, I'm afraid... But this is Shigeki. Standing next to him is a younger man with spikey white hair, he's wearing some type of white robes for swordsmanship and wearing regular black clothes under. He has icy blue eyes and glasses on. His sheathe is on his back as well. This is Ty Kazamatsuri.

"Oy, Osmond... It's to cold for this mess." says Shigeki, all though he strangely doesn't sound cold.

Ty is reading a book.

Shigeki looks at him. "Aren't you cold, Ty-guy?" asks Shigeki. See? Old habits die hard when it comes to this fellow.

"Nah. Don't you remember my special sword? It's the ice-type. So it makes me immune to being cold." says Ty.

Shigeki has a dumb expression on his face. "Oh..." Shigeki then looks at him close. "Wait. Why are you wearing glasses?! You don't need them!"

Ty then takes off his glasses. "I don't know. They're kind of useless in the cold, they fog up easy..." Ty then tosses his glasses to the side.

Shigeki sweatdrops.

Then, another younger man is seen with his shirt off, wearing regular light brown pants and boots, he has a straw hat on his head and a piece of wheat (more straw) in his mouth. He has brown hair and brown eyes. This is Idate. He's offering his shirt, which is just a light-blue vest to Rebacca.

"Beautiful girls should try to stay warm." says Idate.

Shigeki then glares at Idate. "Put your shirt back on, you sick dude."

[Magoseong]

Osmond looks at Shigeki. "Well, under normal circumstances, going out to investigate in a climate as severe as this would be consider utmost idiotic, even to the simple-minded. However, considering the readings I recieved from the signal.. It seems very unstabled and could prove to be dangerous to this area's environment if left unchecked. It'd be too risky if we waited for a more comfortable weather to arrive. Besides - as I said before, it's not that bad. We went through worse on our adventure, did we not?"

Rebacca bluntly ignores Idate and walks up to Ty, being curious about his sword. "Special sword? That prevents you from getting cold? Ooh, that sounds really nifty!" He smiles innocently at Ty. "By any chance, you wouldn't mine if I borrowed it? Just for a while during the trip at least?"

Osmond sighs, looking at Rebacca. "I don't think his sword works like that. I'm assuming it's made out of fonim like many of our own weapons, therefore only inhabitants of our planet can actually activate it's special abilities. To you, it'd probably be just a normal, powerless sword."

Rebacca looks dissapointed, then leers at Osmond with a pouty face. "Darn it.. Then.. Could you lend me your fluffy cute scarf?" She smiles at Osmond. "You know.. to keep my face warm?"

Osmond coughs nervously. "Sorry. My attire is like a part of my body. Asking me to take off my scarf for you is like asking me to cut off of my own hand." Everyone stares at Osmond strangely. "Er.. *cough* Besides, if it does get too cold, I can easily cook up a fire to keep ourselves warm. At least.. I hope I can. I was never really an expert of the Fifth Fonim (Fire)."

Meanwhile, being somewhat tempted, Kelos takes the blue vest from Idate and wraps it around himself. "Aaah.. Thanks, Idate~!" He sinks into a bliss, feeling somewhat warmer.

Thomas pushes his glasses up his nose, looking somewhat dumbfounded. "... I'm assuming we're all ready to go then?"

Osmond faces toward Thomas. "Hold on a sec.. Are we missing anything here?"

[Admiral44]

Idate's vein pops out. "Oy... Kelos, I said for BEAUTIFUL GIRLS. You're not a beautiful girl, bub."

Shigeki laughs a bit. "You're a very weird and amusing guy, my friend." he says to Idate.

Idate scoffs. "Whatever..." Idate then looks at Osmond. "Yeah... Hold on a sec." Idate then suddenly walks off, breaking into one of the houses nearby... Yet, that house is a very familiar one...

Ty notices Idate and sweatdrops. "W-... What the heck's up with that guy?"

Shigeki just continues to laugh.

Idate then comes out of the house, he's now wearing a green sock hat and a big green sweater. The sock hat has the Tagomai family symbol on it. "Haha! Look what I found in the Tagomai home!" says Idate with a huge smile.

Shigeki then leers at Idate. "Hey... Stay out of there, would ya?"

Idate then glances at Shigeki, smirking. "Why? It's not like they're coming back, you know..." says Idate in a sarcastic and blunt (if that's even possible) tone.

Shigeki then walks towards Idate. It looks like he's about to kill him.

Ty just takes a quick glance at Shigeki, and doesn't look like he's gonna stop him.

[Magoseong]

Osmond grabs ahold of Shigeki's shoulder and pulls him back. "Easy there, Shige! Let's not. He didn't mean it like that." Osmond leers at Idate rather coldly. "... I suppose you're all ready now? Good. Let's get going." Osmond hovers away, expecting everyone to follow him.

Everyone follows Osmond - Idate and Kelos stay behind for a brief moment.

Kelos looks empty. He then looks up at Idate. "... You don't.. really believe that, do you Idate?" Kelos tugs onto his shirt. "... They can't.. you know.." Kelos loses his words for a moment but quickly attains his cheerful voice. "They can't actually be gone! I'm sure they'll come back! Afterall, they're heroes! And heroes can never die.. right?" He saids in a confident manner, expecting that one day everyone will return.. a false hope. Kelos quickly chases after everyone.

[Admiral44]

Idate had an arrogant smirk on his face the whole time, but after Kelos ran off, his face suddenly became dark and serious. "Heroes never die, huh?" Idate then shoves his hands in his pockets. "What garbage." Idate then walks after everyone.

[Magoseong]

The wanderers travel endlessly, ripping through the harsh cold. Soft snow began to fall, and everyone is shrouded by an uncanny mist. Unexpectedly, a blizzard from nothingness ambushes the travellers and forces them into a random direction.. The weather becomes fatal. Fortunately, they managed to find themselves nearby a small town..

Dark World Adagio

Osmond is seen coughing, sitting down on the cold ground - his propellor has been frozen solid from the storm. He tugs his scarf and wraps it around his face tightly. He then rubs the lens of his goggles. "Damn..! Is everyone alright? That was one hell of a storm..!" Osmond stands up, then takes his propellor pack off and examines it. "Agh.." Osmond attempts on fixing it. He opens up a lid and examines the device's interior.

Kelos is seen sniffing, his nose is all stuffed. He looks around, face all red. "I.. I think we're all fine..! Wait.." He takes a sniff, coughing. "Rebacca and Thomas are missing!"

Osmond looks around. "That's great!" Osmond suddenly gets furious, shouting at everyone as if he's mad at them. "Don't blame me!! I wasn't expecting a damn blizzard that severe!!" Osmond smashes his propellor pack, fixing a few parts as well as breaking a few. He sighs and gives up on his propellor pack, then takes a look at his portable monitor. "... And what a surprise. We happen to find ourselves way off course." Osmond yells at himself now. . "Great job Archion! Let's travel in an extremely frigid weather! Don't expect a storm or anything.. Oh no! There's no way that there can a blizzard in this kind of weather!" The blizzard obviously shooken him up quite a bit. "... *Sigh* I suppose we should find shelter. It'd be suicidal to continue travelling in this climate now. I just hope those other two can handle themselves in this weather.. I'm guessing not, but it doesn't hurt to pray for their safety, huh?"

Kelos looks at Osmond bashfully. "Osmond.. san.."

Osmond looks around. "Don't stray off. Stay here for a bit.. I'll see if I can figure something out." Osmond looks down at his propellor pack. "What horrible timing. My propellor's been damaged. If it was still functional, I could easily scout around and see if there's anything around here."

Manifest Destiny

Kelos sits down and hugs his legs, shivering. "Brr..!"

Osmond examines his propellor pack. "Hmm.. It looks.. some of the gears have been frozen? Actually, it looks like they're jammed. Maybe if I could use something to pry it loose.." Osmond thinks to himself.

[Admiral44]

Shigeki has snow stuck in his hair and ice hanging from his ears. He looks very cold now. "O-Osmond... This is a mess."

Ty looks at Osmond. "Maybe I should go around and scout a bit. I can survive in this, after all."

Idate then sits down and sighs, ignoring both Shigeki and Ty. "I doubt they're alive. They say cute girls die young, after all."

Ty and Shigeki both look at Idate, annoyed.

[Magoseong]

Osmond looks at Ty, ignoring Idate. "It's not about the cold but rather how dangerously thick this mist is. Even if you could last a very long time in this climate, who knows what's out there. You could easily get lost if you took too long.. of course, if I tagged along, that shouldn't be a problem. I could use fonicry to clear away the mist like a torch in the dark - as well as dealing wiith any pesky monsters that might be lurking around."

Kelos jumps up and down like a puppy. "Monsters? I can sniff them out if you want!" Kelos sniffs the air. His nose sounds really stuffy now. "... Can't smell anything! No monsters here!"

Osmond eyes on Kelos. "... You do realize you have a cold? Your nose probably can't pick up scent normally. Besides.. I heard about weird monsters who lack actual odours, apparently a method to hide them from their predators. Most of these creatures I heard tend to live in cold climates. And what do you know, it's really cold here!" Osmond sighs. "Anyways.. I gotta fix up my propellor."

Kelos looks at Osmond, curiously. "Why? Can't you just walk?"

Osmond looks at Kelos. "It's not about walking. My propellor saved my ass on several occasions. Having it around and on makes me feel a whole lot safer. It's reliability is almost equivalent to a durable weapon, if not even better. On the other hand, I really hate walking." Osmond taps gently on his propellor pack. "Say.. You guys wouldn't happen to have anything that might possibly bear a similarity to a particular hand tool, now would you?"

[Admiral44]

Shigeki just gives Osmond a blank look.

Ty shrugs. "No. Sorry, Osmond-san."

Idate seems to be in his own little world at the moment...

[Magoseong]

"Really? Well.. How about, oh say. A sword?" Osmond pushes his goggles in. "Yeah, a sword. That should do. I'm going to assume all of you brought one - or at least brought some kind of weapon. I need a thin sword.. It can't be a broadsword or anything like that, oh no. Those would be too bulky and big for me to use here." Osmond coughs and eyes around. "Anyone?"

[Admiral44]

Shigeki is still giving Osmond that same blank look. "Osmond, you know my blade as well as I do. You know that it isn't skinny." says Shigeki bluntly.

Ty coughs. "Well... I'm not really comfortable giving anyone my sword." says Ty.

Shigeki then smirks. "Yeah, Ty-guy doesn't share..."

Ty then glares at Shigeki, a vein popping out of his head.

Idate tosses a slim rapier to Osmond. "That should work." says Idate.

[Magoseong]

Osmond snatches the rapier in mid-air, then examines it. "Ah! This is perfect! It's quite rare to see people wielding these sort of weapons." Osmond jabs the rapier into some of the gears in his propellor pack. "Rapiers are quite underrated in my opinion. So many people who practice in swordplay often rely on heavy broadswords or tsurugis. I suppose it's because many people think that.." The rapier snaps. Osmond looks at the half broken rapier, ashamefully. "... They're too fragile. Whoops." Osmond places the broken rapier on the ground and examines his propellor pack. "But hey, on the bright side.. Looks like I managed to get some of the gears working." He saids as he pats the pack, activiating it. He closes the lid and equips the propellor pack back on. He picks up the pieces of Idate's rapier. He hands Idate the one that has the hilt. "Er.. Here. Sorry about breaking it.. That isn't my job." Osmond looks at Kelos. He looks back at Idate. "But judging by the length. I think you can use this as a dagger or something.. I dunno. It'd be a waste to throw it away."

Kelos suddenly yelps. "Wha!!" He manages to get everyone's attention.

Osmond looks at Kelos. "Huh? What's wrong, mutt?"

Kelos looks around, panicked. "I.. I saw something weird!"

Osmond scoffs and laughs a bit. "Saw something weird, huh? Care to be a bit more specific?"

Kelos faces toward Osmond and uses his hands to describe the size and shape of the thing he saw. It seems to be somewhat big, as to what Kelos is trying to say - though it's clear he's exagerating.
"It was something like this! I think it was a giant liger or something! Gaah..! What should we do..? Ligers are terrifying to fight!"

Osmond scratches his head. "Liger, huh? Interesting. A liger living in this sort of environment? It's too rural here.. They usually live in forests or areas that have alot of herbivores. I can't imagine any of them to live up this far, especially not in this kind of climate."

Kelos looks around cautiously. "I think it had wings too!"

Osmond stares at Osmond. "Winged ligers? Now that's just silly. But since you said that, I have a few possible guesses on what you might have actually saw.."
