Let's talk about online community

Yep. Leave it up to me. I'm making the first post here and it's not anything dealing with praise

My radar light up my brain so bright, I couldn't even see out of my eyes. When I saw this forum opened up, I immediately went to go bash it.

Okay, i'll start off and say, the Single Player Campaign was really great. Well rounded fun, great co-op experience with my buddies.

Now that that's over with. Let's talk about the plague that is the Gears Of War/Halo 3 online community. Anyone ever finished a match and just felt like trashing your Xbox and never playing it again because everything is becoming more and more online orientated? I know I have. Ironically, it was only after playing this game and Halo 3 online.

The twelve year old madness on these sort of games is absolutely sickening really. I'm sure I could right a Harry-Potter-and-the-Prisoner-of-Azkabahn-sized book on this topic but I'll just leave that up to your imagination.

I cannot stand playing these games online and my achievements in Gears Of War 1 will prove that I didn't just have ONE bad match. I had 9,990 kills worth of bad games in that game, and Gears Of War II is no better. I wish these kids and cocky ass idiots that play too would receive thirteen blows to the face by an Xbox 360 controller and then cracked in the mouth with Frisbee launched Gears Of War disc.

Before I end my pathetic rant that will probably piss off more people than a white man in Kenya, I'd like to pinpoint that until proven otherwise, I realize that no other player on the Cheatingdome forums are like those I had just described

I never play Halo 3 online anymore. most of my buddies either got rid of it or just don't play it anymore. I borrowed Gears of War 2 and loved horde mode but other then that... Meh.

Also, your problems with the little devils.. That what Xbox Live Parties are for. Talk to friends that are in the match with you that way you talk to people that DON'T annoy you. Its what I do.

I don't know what to tell you then. I just play online and not talk to people sometimes. Use movements and point-and-shoot comunitcation.

I dont play Halo 3 army and I put Gears of War 2 down for a specific reason. Plus I hate it when some nerd who think hes cool sends me hatemail, it makes me lol each time.

Don't you realize that 3/4ths of the population of gamers nowadays don't pay attention, don't understand, or don't really even have tactical brainpower anymore? You're pushing the issue of not having volume, or not having a microphone to a topic that is really a proven point.

Also, not talking doesn't fix the problem. You've still got to listen to some kid who sings in his mic, talks trash to inanimate objects, and them fighting between someone who has made the mistake of talking.

If you want communication and teamwork then play with friends. Your playing with random people, its not gonna be filled with randoms. Hell somedays when Im in the mood, i go on xbox and be a total **** in left 4 dead. Why ....? Because its fun and relieves stress.


Just remember that people bought video games to have fun, not all of them are gonna be the teamwork helpking kind.

Just remember that people bought video games to have fun, not all of them are gonna be the teamwork helpking kind.

and if you want to play with your friends, you're going to have to find your friends that play this game at the same time as you.

and if you want to find those, you'll probably have to make friends with people that already play the game...and those willing amount up to about... 1/4th of the population.

See what I'm getting at here?
