Grand Theft Auto 2 PC Cheats

I am trying to unlock the codes for Grand theft auto 2 for pc. I have followed the instructions by first entering gouranga for the name but nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions?

hmm confusing..ok well when u enter the name does it go to the select your level section? If so then it should hae worked. Here are the cheats just to see if its the same

Lots Of Cash:
To Get $500000 at the beginning of the game enter your name as muchcash at the player selection screen.

Extra Levels:
Find all GTA 2 shields to get new level(s)

Fire Truck Hint:
To get the Fire Truck, blow up a car and hopefully there will be a fire and soon as the fire truck comes, steal it! The Fire Truck has a water cannon that can spray water around. If you have a car starting to catch on fire spray it with a Fire Truck to put it out.


Get rid of Cops:
Go to the territory of whatever gang you are working for, and they will shoot them for you.

Hidden Tank:
In the first area there's a tank kill frenzy. to find it, head as far east as possible. TO find it keep as far east as you can and walk up and down the east side. Once you get it you can keep it even after the kill frenzy. the tank itself is invinceible. there is also a fire truck to be found there too.

Where to find Tanks:
If you wait a the main screen,(the place where is says Play
Options
Quit),Wait there for about 60 seconds and it will show you the way to the tank,Trust me,it works.

Crazy Loonies:
First you find an icecream truck then drive it into the loony base with the music on!
It will make them run around like little school girls.


Guided Tour:
Go to the phone at the beginning of the first level. A ''Schmidt'' car will appear below. Enter it and wait for instructions. After finishing the tour, a machine gun and a GTA2 sign will appear below the church.

After I enter Gouranga, do I have to go to another screen and then go back and enter a different name? It is a little confusing.

first off what does GOURANGA do as a cheat..? If it is a no-cop cheat then you will not be able to tell if the cheat has worked until you are playing the game and driving around....

So once you have enterd it just select: START PLAY IN AREA..or whatever starts the game...

Gouranga is supposed to be what first unlocks cheat mode. I have tried entering various cheats that I would know right off the bat such as much cash or cutie1 but nothing is working. I can't figure it out. Oh well.

Ok i have asked a few of my friends about it and what should happen is that you enter the cheatmode but there will be no indication of it working so just enter the ONE cheat that yiou want. If you enter more than one cheat then it does not work...dont have a clue..why..lol

I tried reinstalling the game and it seemed to work. There were times when I would be playing and the game would just stop and take me to windows and other wierd things like getting an error message that there was no cd inserted so I figured reinstalling would be necessary. Anyways, I have successfully entered several codes and I can get more than one to work at the same time. When you enter the code in the name section and hit enter, there is a different sound than normal that tells you if it worked. I figured this out as some codes only work for the European version. NOw I am on to raising all sorts of hell!
