Pokemon Crystal Cheats

In the back of each puzzle room in the ruins of Alph is a word formed by Annons (Unowns). They require you to do things in order to get into a back room. In one place, you must equip a Water Stone. In another, you must put Houou (Ho-Oh) first in your lineup. In another you must use an Escape Rope. In another you must use Flash. Once in the back room, pick up the items and fall down the hole to find a room with a message about Annon/Unown. Fall down the hole there to return to the Annon/Unown shrine.

This tip requires two gameboys-One with pok'emon Crystal and the other with pok'emon Blue,Red,or Yellow-If any of you haven't noticed Pok'emon Crystal doesn't have the HM dig anywhere but it had this HM in the older pok'emons. To get this HM back, you are going to need to get the HM in one of the older pok'emon games and then teach it to one of the older pok'emon. After doing this you are going to need to trade it to the newer Pok'emon Crystal version.(This HM is really handy in hard caves that you can't get out of and if you're out of escape ropes. It also helps in battles because the enemy automatically misses once, stopping moves like rollout etc. from getting stronger) | Submitted by OldMaster

This will only work if you have 2 GBC's and 2 Games. (Or you use a friends) Start the game and get the starter pokemon you want. Then trade it to your other game and restart your game. Then if you got the fire type, get water this time, if you got water, get grass, if you got grass, get water. Now trade back the starter pokemon you got earlier. Now your rival will have the opposite type pokemon as you so you will have an advantage and hey, you get to starter pokemon. | Submitted by xgreendayx

Go to Goldenrode City and go north until you see grass going horizontal from the right. Walk through the grass until you see a Bug Catcher. Walk back and forth in the grass until you see a Blue Psyduck! | Submitted by Unknown

Breed two Pikachus to get Pichu.
Breed two Electabuzzes and you get Elekid.
Breed two Clefairies and you get Cleffa.
Breed two Jigglypuffs and you get Igglybuff.
Breed two Magmars and you get Magby.

Breed a Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee with a Ditto to get Tyrogue.

Breed a Gyarados with the Red Gyarados to get a golden Magikarp.

To catch Pokemon easier after you threw your pokeball keep pressing B repeadily. You should have a better chance of catching that Pokemon. | Submitted by xgreendayx

Use code:910004d2. That code will allow you to capture any pokemon(GameShark only) | Submitted by AndrewBernish

In Kanto at six o'clock, you can find dancing Clefairies on Route 4 (Outside Mount Moon), but only on monday nights. They are in the patch of grass with little flowers. When the Clefairies notice you, they run away, but they will leave a rock that one of your pokemon can rock smash and under that rock is a moon stone. Which can evole pokemon like Nidorino and Clefairy. | Submitted by AndrewBernish

Get a scyther and train it to level 45, teach it swords dance, slash and wing attack. In the beginning of each battle use swords dance three times and use slash or wing attack depending on the types. You should have a one hit ok every hit. | Submitted by AndrewBernish

Its better to use status promblems like stun spore, toxic, and sleep powder then attack whitney's miltank and clefairy with just attacks. You might not have any trouble with clefairy but you most likely will with Miltank. Train a bellsprout into a weepingbell. Give it Cut,vine whip, stun spore, and growth and give it a quick claw and get about 5 super potions, and weepingbell should be on level 23+. This is based on luck but its luck will be higher than other techniques. For the first move on miltank use stun spore and then growth. If you have enough energy for an other hit then use growth a second time. then use a super potion. If Miltank is using rollout watch out because it increases power every turn. The first two Rollouts wont do as much damage, thats two valuabe turns to attack. After two growths keep using vine whip and super potions. You should have a great chance of winning. | Submitted by AndrewBernish

In Crystal, Most, if not all pokemon have a different decription when you catch them.

example:

Arcanine

Gold: The Legendary Chinese POKEMON is considered Magnificent. Many people are enchanted by its grand mane

Crystal: An ancient picture scroll shows that people were attracted to its movement as it ran through Praries. | Submitted by AndrewBernish

In the Japanese releases of Pokemon Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow, as well as all versions of Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, there is a glitch involving Substitute - no matter the accuracy of the move, if it is a move that absorbs HP (e.g. Absorb, Giga Drain, Mega Drain), the move will have a 100% chance to miss.

Go to a PC, and save. Attach the item you want to duplicate to the Pokemon you want to clone. Deposit it into the PC. Change boxes. When the screen is saying "Saving the game..." Turn off your GB. Turn it back on. You should have the deposited Pokemon in the PC, and a clone of it in your lineup. The item will either be on both monsters, or in your Backpack. Note: while doing this code, DO NOT withdraw any Pokemon. When the GB is turned back on, you'll find that the withdrawn Pokemon has been deleted.

Note I: You can duplicate up to 5 items/Pokemon at a time.
Note II: Use this code at your own risk. It may corrupt your save data if done incorrectly.

After beating Claire in the eighth gym, you are tasked with going into the Dragon's Den. Go there, and have all of your Pokemon poisoned. Complete the elder's quiz in the den, but do not leave, instead, walk around until your entire party faints and you white out. Go visit Claire in the gym to get TM24 from her there, and then go into the elder's building in the Den for her to give you another. This occurs because the game thinks by leaving without receiving the TM you were already given it but didn't have it. Since you didn't trigger the actual event in which Claire gave it to you, you can get both TMs.

Get a Gengar and teach it thief. Go to the Battle Tower and go on any level you want and steal the pokemon's items with thief. | Submitted by AndrewBernish

In the beginning of the game get a bellsprout and turn it into a weepingbell (turns into one at level 21). then when its the day for the bug catching contest use weepingbell as your one pokemon. Weepingbell should have cut, vine whip, and sleeping powder. Weaken it to about 10-1 hit points left ( estimate the points ) and use sleep powder. throw a park ball and you have a very high chance of catching a scyther/Pinsir. I caught a scyther on my first ball! I wound'nt use stun spore just because you would have a greater chance with sleep powder.

Note: this technique works on the other pokemon too. | Submitted by AndrewBernish

Trade any pokemon you want to the your game from a friend's game or if you have an extra game. The traded pokemon you received will gain experience faster.( If you battle an Arcanine and it gives you 2000 experience your traded pokemon will receive half that experience plus what a pokemon you caought from your own game) | Submitted by AndrewBernish

First you need to start with Cyndaquil evolve it twice till you get a Typhlosion get it to level 90 let it learn Swift, Flamethrower, cut, and strength. Now get the red Gyrados scale take it to Mr. Poke`mon after cherrygrove city he will give you Exp. If the magnet train isn't running yet, you just fly to New Bark town and surf three tiles east. then, simply fly to the place you want to be. | Submitted by Laurens

Important: In order to do this cheat you will need a Blue Card from the DJ on the 2nd floor (Beruna). Once every day, listen to your raido on channel 10.5 between 6:00 pm and 12:00 pm. you will hear a password show. Listen for the password. Then go to the raido tower in Goldenrod City. On the 2nd floor there is a station. Go to the announcer and she'll put you on the raido to tell the password. You get three choices. One is correct. You will get one point for each password each day. There is a lady in the bottom right corner of the statino. She is the one who exchanges your points for items. Here is a list of the items and how many points they cost.

Breed a Gyarados and a Red Gyarados, wait for a day in the game, then collect your egg. Your egg will hatch to a gold Magikarp, evolve your gold Magikarp into a gold Gyarados.

Put gold Gyarados on the sixth of your list. Put a pokemon that you want to turn gold (it has to be able to evolve) on the second of your list, and a pokemon that knows fly on the top of your list. Deposit all your pokemon except the first one on your list, then enter the bug catching competition on route 15, and go to the man. He will ask if you want to leave, say no, then fly out. Your pokemon that you want to turn gold will be gold, but with gold gyarados' name. | Submitted by Ben

Catch the red gyardos and then go get a ditto. Take them to the day care and you will get an egg with the gold pokemon inside. | Submitted by Zander

For a pokemon that evolves by happiness you need 225 points. If you catch a pokemon by a friend ball it gains 200 points, if its another ball like a great ball you gain 70 points. Every 520 steps it gains 1 point. For every ststus UP item used on it, like carbos it gains 2 points. For every new level it gains either 3 points or 5 points. Every time Blue's sisiter grooms your pokemon it gains 3 points.

The underground hair cut brothers, the older brother.($500) 1,3,5 points depends on how happy the pokemon seems.

The younger brother.($300) 1,3,10 points depends on how happy it looks.

Happiness can go down to.

pokemon faints: -1 point
If Heal powder, Energy Powder, Energy Root is used: -5 points
If Revival Herb is used on the pokemon | Submitted by AndrewBernish

Ok OldMaster here is how you find dig (HM28). Go to the national park just north of route 35. Start heading north (top of screen), pass the fountain and you will see a little kid holding a GB. Talk to him and he will say "I'm printing out my pokedex. You can also print out stuff like mail and your PC boxes." Anyway, you will notice that he isn't up against the fence on your right. Ok here is the good bit. Walk into that corner between him and the two fences then just walk forward again. If your in the right spot you should be on the outside of the fence. Then you can merrily stroll west and then south. There will be a clearing in the trees which will take you down to were the HM28 is sitting. Pick it up, it looks like any other item, and there you have it. You've found yourself the HM(28), dig. Ps. This is the same for both Silver and Gold. | Submitted by PokemonKid#50

Exclusive to the 2018 3DS Virtual Console release of Pokemon Crystal, the player is able to obtain a GS Ball. This is done by progressing through the game until the Elite Four is defeated. At that point you can speak with the attendant in the Goldenrod City Pokemon Center and obtain the GS Ball. Bring this to Kurt in Azalea Town; wait the prescribed 24 hours and he'll direct you to the shrine in Ilex Forest where you can catch a Level 30 Celebi. Unlike the original release of the game, this method of capturing Celebi exists in all regions in which the game is distributed (as opposed to just Japan) and is available by default, the VC port having altered the game slightly to make this possible. The Celebi can be Shiny as well, and it may be transferred to Pokemon Bank.

In Pokemon Crystal many phone conversations have changed and sometimes people will even give you rare stones, so get as many phone numbers as possible to get a better chance of receiving a stone from one of your phone buddies.

By capturing every Pokemon in the Kanto and Johto Pokedexes - aside from Mew and Celebi, which are optional - you will be able to speak with the Game Freak director in Celadon City to obtain a diploma recognizing this achievement.

The following Pokemon cannot be found in Pokemon Crystal. You'll have to transfer them from Gold, Silver, Red, Yellow or Blue. As always, Mew and Celebi can only be gotten from special events or contests.

Hook up the mobile adapter. Go to the communication center in Goldenrod City, and read the message on the lockers to the right of the room. They will talk about a present from the future. Leave and the blue-haired nurse will ask you to defeat all sixteen gyms in order to obtain the GS Ball. Once you have done so, give the GS Ball to Kurt. The next day, he will give it back. Put it in the shrine in the Ilex forest and a level 30 Serebii (Celebi) will attack you.

An easy method is to put the them asleep when you encounter them.

Another good/effective way is that if you attack one and reduce their HP it will be the same the next time you see them. | Submitted by Ragdoll

Find Suikun (Suicune) in three different places (right out of National Park, below the bush by Mount Mortar, and up in Cianwood). Then, go to Tin Tower, and Suikun/Suicune will appear to fight you.

If Entei/Raikou is on the east side of the map fly west. That way they will flee their area and end up closer to you! | Submitted by Ragdoll

While your trying to do the Missingno Glitch, battle one pokemon and fly to Training Hall. Then go in and go downstair. Before you battle, save the game. After you save, the lady will ask if you want to battle Green?Green?Green?Green?Green?Green (instead of Cal) accept it and he will have a level 0 Primape. Note when he summon his pokemon it will freeze the game. Turn it off and on again go and to the lady again but this time the Gameboy will turn off again by itself. Also leave your gameboy off for 2-3 days and turn it on then the glitch will work again. | Submitted by evilnick2

There are some certain Pokemon that if you don't evolve them, they will learn moves that can't be learned by the evolution. For example; Growlithe is the only Pokemon that can learn Flamethrower. The Arcanine can't. | Submitted by AndrewBernish
