Treecko, type: GRASS, evolves into Grovyle on Lv. 16, type: GRASS, evolves in Sceptile on Lv. 36, Type: GRASS. It will be useful against Roxanne and Wallace. Torchic, type: FIRE, evolves on Lv. 16 into Combusken, type: FIRE,FIGHT, evolves on Lv. 36 into Blaziken, Type:FIRE,FIGHT. It will be useful against Roxanne (when evolved). Recommended: Mudkip, because it's useful against much leaders, Torchic, because it's a fire type, and those are very hard to find in the beginning. Teach your blazikien these moves; double kick, blaze kick. these are fire and fighting moves. use these against Sidney(fighting move), Phoebe(fire move) Glacia,(fighting move, and some electricity if you have a strong electric pokemon),and with Drake, use fighting moves, and ice moves. Kyogre should know ice and water moves. Use the ice moves against drake. for the champian steven; skarmony;blaze kick claydol;any water move aggron;double kick cradily;preferably blaze kick, but a wayer type move will do. armaldo;water moves, but you could use double kick. metagross;blaze kick these are also preferable pokemon; manectric;electric blaziken;fighting/fire nintales;fire kyogre;water/ice glalie;ice groudon,flygon,swampert,golem,sandslash,donphan; ground (My favorite types are water, dark, and dragon.) It is very hard to catch. I reccomend that you save the game before battleing Rayquaza so if you accidently kill it or if it kills you you can shut the game off and turn it back on so you can try to catch it again. Same thing for Kyogre who is in Cave of Origin. So you never run out of tries. Note:You need to beat the champion before catching Rayquaza. [Report] | [DeanVenturin]Having trouble catching a legendary Pokémon? Look here to catch that legendary Pokémon! Bring about 50 Ultra and Timer Balls because this battle will take forever. Go to the location of the legendary Pokémon of your choice. Battle it until it gets into the red zone (10 HP or less) Then,start throwing Ultra Balls at it. It's easier if ya have put a status aliment on it. When you've reached around 20-30 Ultra Balls,start using Timer Balls because they will work better around this time. SAVE BEFORE STARTING THE BATTLE FOR 2 REASONS!!! 1st reason,you only have a limited amount of time before the Pokémon uses the last ditch move,Struggle,which hurts the Pokémon using it. 2nd reason,if you accidentally defeat it or it defeats you,you can reset the game so you won't have to do everything over again. [Report] | [FireElementLord]Go to the fifth city and Surf on the route that has a sign on the water. Next to it is a glitched block. Swim back and forth and it will change. [Report] | [Neto]Bring a Poke'mon that knows sweet scent(A move that attracts pokemon) In the Safari Zone. Go in the grass and use sweet scent and a pokemon will appear with out eating up your 500 safari zone steps! [Report] | [Xander]To find Chimecho, go to Mt Pyre (route 122) on the top floor (outside) Go to the far right where is a patch of grass. Search in there. After AGES (*yawn....zzzzz*) you should find a chimecho. Strangely enough, I would find them more often when my enemy team was there. But that's probably just a coincidence. At a part of the cave, there are some Braille writing on the wall. At that point, float to the top of the water, where you will end up in a cavern. Go into the last room by going forward, use Dig, and in the next room you must do something strange. Put a Relicanth in the front of your party, and a Wailord at the last place. Walk to the top of the room and read the Brail . You will trigger an earthquake, which will unlock the Regis. You can fish up a Wailmer to evolve at level 40 at Route 122, and find a Relicanth outside Sootopolis in the underwater grass (rarely, but it is there). Registeel To find Registeel, you can access a volcano in the southwest region of Route 120. Enter it, then move towards the center of the room. Use Fly to find Registeel. Note: The Braille writing for catching Registeel is: "With new time, hope and love, aim to the sky in the middle". Regirock To find Regirock, fly to lavaridge, bop down the mountain, and enter the desert. In the southern part of the desert, you will find a cavern. Enter it, then walk up to the center tile at the top of the room. Go two steps down and two steps right. Use strength to open the passage to Regirock. Note: The Braille writing for catching Regirock is: "Right, right, down, down. Then, use strength". Regice To find Regice, in Route 105, there is an island on the west side that has a mountain on it. Now if you want to have that secret base yours then have another friend with the secret base that you want open then have them move into the secret bese you want and mix recordings then have your friend move into another secret base and mix recordings one last time and the secret base should be open if you didn't have the person registered. [Report] | [Arjan]Here some tactics for who's starting (over) the game: Starter pokemon: My favorite is Mudkip: it's only weakness is grass, but Torchic is also good, because it's evolvd forms are good against gym leaders and the elite 4. Then your other pokemon: catch a Ralts. it'll take some time searching but eventually you'll find one. the best way is just to run around in the first patch of grass by the small pond to route 102 and run for every pokemon exept Ralts. you can also run in to a surskit. those are very rare, so catch that one too. your first ralts should have sychronize as it's ability. if you don't do anything with the ralts and keep searching the same way. you should find another ralts quickly, and it's ability will almost always be trace. you know when it has because it says: Wild Ralts appeared! Go! MUDKIP! (for example) Wild Ralts TRACED Mudkip's TORRENT! That way. Trace will copy special ability. Then, deposit the ralts with sycronize in the pc. the rest is easy:catch a zigzagoon. his ability is pickup and you will get great items from it. catch a poochyena. train them all to lv 10 before battling trainers. catch a taillow catch a shroomish when you get in dewford, catch a sableye in granite cave: it's only weakness is bug. replace it for poochyena you have to get a water type if you choose treecko or torchic as a starter for SURFing later in the game. Then every so often he will give you a berry, it may not be much but eventually, he'll give you rare berries, and you can sell them at high prices. And some of them also have good effects on Pokemon. So, have fun talking to a dude that gives you weird berries that remind people of their past and future. Even if you don't know what your future holds. [Report] | [Crystiana]Wobbuffet at a very high level would work well because of it's ability "Shadow Tag" which prevents foes from escaping. Latias (Sapphire) and Latios (Ruby) always try to when you battle it. Golbat with the move "Mean Look" and also at a very high level would work just as well. Even though the pokemon Trapinch has the ability "Arena Trap" which is meant to stop pokemon from escaping, it won't work on Latias or Latios. This ability doesn't work on pokemon that are flying type or have the ability "Levitate" and Latias and Latios have this ability. [Report] | [DavidOikle]Magicarp; possibly the most useless Pokemon in the game. But did anyone think it may have some hidden purpose? Well it doesnt =P but its evolved form Gyarados can be quite the powerful companion. Getting to the point, if you give your useless Magicarp to the babysitter it evolves after only one level!! try it, it is honestly the only thing worth doing with a Magicarp. [Report] | [shadow]When going after the legendary representing the team of your game (Team Aqua or Team Magma), bring about 30 Ultra Balls, quite a few Revives, and at least a level 50 Pokemon. The Pokemon will be at level 45, and will be extremely difficult to catch. The only sure way to catch it is if you bring a Pokemon with a move that will freeze or paralyze it. Try as hard as you can not to kill it, but get it down to a red zone so far down that you can barely see it. Then, go mad throwing Ultra Balls at it. Do not use other Pokeballs. The will help greatly against the Elite Four and the final Gym leader. Where ever you go and whatever you do, always keep the Zigazoon/Linoone in your party. Its Pickup ability will net you rare items throughout the game.
