• "Border Crossing": Easy completion

Complete Objectives 1 and 2. Use the Map Computer to find the river and the best path to it. Press Z two times to crawl and make your way to the river. When you reach near the river, you will be able to see the red line (not to be crossed) and "Danger" and "Mine" symbols. Do not cross the line. Walk besides it up to the end of the mission. Do not bother to kill enemies in order to save time and avoid tanks. You will be able to get near the helicopter. Cross the fence to complete the mission.

• "Bridge Across the Dnester": Easy completion

This is the first timed mission, which you have to complete in under fifteen minutes. After you exit the house and get bags of explosives to blow up the bridge, save the game. If you get killed when you walk out, you will be able to recover immediately by pressing [F7].

• "The Airfield": Easy kills

After you turn on the fuel pump, go into the house. Close the door and wait. The guards will arrive one by one. Shoot them. The guards may turn off the fuel pump. After you kill all the guards, turn on the fuel pump then wait.

• Cheat Mode

At the main menu, type "nada" followed by one of the following codes

• Disable enemies

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the "ai" folder in the "common" directory. Open the "ai" folder. Delete the "default.qvm" and "squaddefault.qvm" files. Copy and paste the "settings.qvm" files twice. Rename the copies to "squaddefault.qvm" and "default.qvm". During game play all enemies except for tanks and helicopters will ignore you.

• Easy kills

While hidden near an alarm button, shoot a bullet at a soldier to alert him. Then, aim at the alarm button. One by one, all the soldiers in the surrounding area will approach and try to press the button. Shoot and kill them before they activate the alarm.
Use the binoculars and adjust the pointer so that the enemy is in the center of the view. Close the binoculars and press [Left Ctrl] to hit the enemy once and kill them.
If an alarm goes off, find a location where you can hide but still have all the enemies visible. Shoot them one by one using a silent gun.
Make the best use of the thermal camera. You can surprise and kill enemies through the wall.

• Ignored by enemies

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "settings.qvm" file in the "common\ai" directory in the game folder. Change the line "BaseData bool8 DangerTimeout[0..100]" to "BaseData bool8 DangerTimeout[0..001]". You will now be ignored by enemies as long you are not inside a tank or other vehicle.

• Maximum ammunition capacity

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "humanplayer.qvm" file in the "humanplayer" directory in the game folder. Find the "DefineHumanPlayerAmmoLimit" header. Change the "AMMO_ID_MAKAROVCLIP, 64" entry to "AMMO_ID_MAKAROVCLIP, 99" and do the same to the ammunition definitions that follow it.

• Mission select

Hold [Left Ctrl] + [Left Shift] + [F9] at the main menu then play the game. All missions will be unlocked.

• Mission skip

Press [Esc] during game play. Go to "Controls" then press [Prt Scr] to advance to the next mission.

• Never die

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "humanplayer.qvm" file in the "humanplayer" directory in the game folder. Change all of the values that follow the "max damage scale" heading to "0".

• Truck shields

The trucks that can be found in every mission are the perfect shield and shelter for John. Move John to his maximum lower stance and place him under the middle of a truck. Then, shoot enemy in the legs with silenced guns. Some soldiers may fire at you, but will instead hit the truck. Never fire at soldiers very far away because they see you below the truck and can shoot you.

• Unlimited health

Press [Ctrl ] + [Alt ] + [F9].

• View cinematics with thermal goggles

Just before finishing the last objective in a mission that precedes a cinematic, use your thermal goggles. When the cinematic starts, all the AI characters will appear in thermal images.
