The most common component will be rank 1. Save them in order to upgrade the components themselves. When you have multiple amounts of the same type of component, combine them by spending other materials. This will upgrade the power of those components. Use the following tasks to earn credits and Chromium, the game's premium currency.
After you get crew members, send them out on individual missions to earn credits, gear, and components. Take note of your crew members' skills and send those that are better suited for each specific mission. Note: You might lose crew members if the mission success rate is too low.
Complete missions under higher difficulty settings to get better rewards. You will receive more credits for completing the mission, and better gear drops.
Repeat side missions as many times as desired to earn credits.
You can talk to NPCs to access opportunities. Opportunities are similar to side missions, but no longer will be available after they are completed. They are also only can be accepted for a limited time. Opportunities will reward you with Chromium. The Dodge Roll is the first ability available for your hero. To perform it, double tap to evade in that direction. It is more useful when facing melee enemies, and not those that can do ranged damage. Also use it when red zones appear, which indicate an imminent attack. Hold Out Blaster is your starting directional ability. When used, you will shoot wildly in a large cone doing damage every few seconds to enemies within range. It is effective when facing groups of enemies. Your energy will decrease while it is active, but will recharge quickly after you stop. Upgrade your equipment to improve your player rating and increase your overall strength. This is done by collecting components. The rarer the component, the more experience your gear will gain from it. Components are obtained by completing missions. Some pieces of gear may have multiple ranks (stars). Those pieces can be upgraded again after it hits maximum level. Doing this will increases its rarity and allow you to improve it even more.
